Updated NXT TakeOver: WarGames II match card predictions

Undisputed Era vs. War Raiders, Ricochet, and EC3- WarGames Match

It looks like the NXT writers are going to give fans a WarGames match that comes close to matching the original concept (of course, it never will due to Vince’s weird fetish for branding everything WCW/JCP related as inferior to WWE).

Hanson, Rowe, and EC3 all have justifiable reasons to go after the quartet of Cole, Fish, Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly. Two weeks ago, the War Raiders were on the precipice of capturing the NXT Tag Team Championships before Bobby Fish interfered for the disqualification. The UE followed this up with a vicious attack on EC3’s leg with a steel chair following the “One Percenter’s” victory over Cole on last week’s NXT. Cole has also been harassing GM Regal about a one-on-one North American Championship match with Ricochet so it would be very easy to add him to this feud.

If this is indeed the WarGames match, these eight should have no problems delivering a possible Match of the Year caliber battle. It would be interesting to see how EC3, Ricochet and the War Raiders would mesh well as a team as well as how they blend with the Undisputed Era as opponents.

Assuming this match happens, these two teams will use plenty of shortcuts and weapons to keep the crowd engaged throughout. As good as last year’s WarGames match was, this match — if it takes place — could be even better.
