One of the most interesting stories coming out of Johnny Gargano’s heel turn is Tommaso Ciampa’s reaction to it. The two former-best-friends-turned-brutal-rivals have been a fixture of NXT since their arrival. Since Gargano’s reveal as Aleister Black’s attacker, Tommaso has thoroughly approved of Gargano’s actions. He has even released his official statement on the event.

It looks like the two bitter foes may actually be back on the same page. So far, Johnny has refused to admit that he is actually a heel now, though Tommaso Ciampa could be the voice of reason that helps Johnny officially join the dark side. Aleister Black has sworn to end Johnny’s future in NXT. I am expecting Gargano and Black’s feud to continue from here.

Johnny couldn’t get the job done at TakeOver against Black. This has to be eating him up inside. Gargano is going to be looking for his redemption against Black, and perhaps to get a bit of advice, Johnny will look to one of the few men to defeat Black: Mr. Ciampa. At the end of the day in the WWE, friends fight and can still make up in the end.

We may see a reunion of #DIY this week on NXT. This will possibly bring The Velveteen Dream and Aleister Black together to go against #DIY. That sounds like money to my ears.
