3. The Miz Turns Face

After the babyface turn of Daniel Bryan, SmackDown is now down one top babyface. I am expecting that we will see a surprising turn to fill that role. At Survivor Series, The Miz was showing signs of a face turn.

He gave SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon the honor of giving the pre-match speech. Whenever it came time for the match, The Miz was seen being very friendly with the rest of his SmackDown teammates. He even fist-bumped Rey Mysterio, a man that he was just recently trying to have kicked off his team.

The WWE has tried a Miz face run in the past that didn’t go over so smoothly. However, that was before The Miz had earned the respect from the fans. They didn’t care if The Miz was a heel or a face; he simply was disliked. Things could go a whole lot different if done today. The Miz is able to connect with the fans well and could possibly become a great face.

2. Someone Has To Pay

Shane McMahon has to be bitter coming out of Survivor Series. The blue brand went 0-6 on the main part of the show. The only win for SmackDown came from the tag team division on the pre-show, with The Usos being the sole survivors. I am expecting that The Usos will be rewarded by getting a shot at The Bar’s tag team titles. While the one team that won will be rewarded, somebody who failed SmackDown must pay.

Shane McMahon failed SmackDown, even though he was technically the last remaining member of the team. However, he won’t place the blame on himself. Shane will feel like everyone around him failed him, even though it was Shane who said something has to change. With the way that he has been booked recently, it looks like Shane may be on his way of becoming a heel authority figure. One of the biggest ways to gain heat is to fire somebody.

It looks like The Miz may be off the chopping block thanks to his effort. He was the last man with Shane before falling into the clutches of Braun Strowman. Although, Mysterio, Hardy, and Joe may be options for Shane to place the blame on, The Miz has already been interviewed placing the blame on Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy.

However, in the end, I see Shane placing the blame on the person in control: Paige. She is beloved by the fans and firing her would be a huge way of getting heel heat on Shane. As a heel authority figure, Shane would be a better fit as the sole authority of the show. The heel turn may not be coming yet, but it sure looks to be right around the corner.
