WWE TLC 2018 Match Card Predictions: Team Corbin vs. Team Angle

Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy [Falls Count Anywhere Match]🔵

On SmackDown Live, Jeff Hardy was celebrating his 20-year WWE anniversary, but Samoa Joe ruined it with his grandiose promo skills. Even though these two superstars had only two one-on-one matches on SmackDown Live within the past two months, all they needed was five minutes to ignite a feud that is worth being on the card for WWE TLC 2018.

If it is indeed on the card, it could be the most hardcore match of the night. These two superstars love to go extreme. Hardy is the crazy, risk-taking, high-flying enigma, while Joe lives on dishing out pain to his opponents by any means necessary. The WWE would be doing the WWE universe an immense disservice by not including this match.

Both men are pretty much within a similar status on SmackDown Live, which makes this match as unpredictable as it can get. Whether it is for the WWE Championship or not, Joe has lost countless times to AJ Styles and desperately needs a PPV win. Similarly, Hardy has lost his U.S. Title match to Shinsuke Nakamura at SummerSlam 2018 and his first ever Hell in a Cell match to Randy Orton back in October; thus, he also desperately needs a PPV win.

With both men desperate for a PPV win, who needs it more? I’d have to go with Samoa Joe. Unlike Hardy, who has had 20 years of greatness in WWE, Samoa Joe has not won a main roster title since debuting on the main roster and needs some much-needed momentum after his many injuries during his time on Raw and his many losses to AJ Styles during his time on SmackDown Live.

Joe needs to build up his WWE legacy, just like Jeff Hardy has in the past, and this could be a great way to keep Joe looking strong on SmackDown Live and allow him to potentially jump into the U.S. Title picture like Nakamura did after losing to Styles. Joe for the big win!
