WWE Raw: Results, Review, and Grades for December 3rd
Thirty more minutes, my friends. We can do this.
Anyway, turns out that Baron Corbin only wanted to keep Heath Slater on as a referee… great heel heat, man. I love it.
Finn Balor vs. Jinder Mahal
Jinder Mahal is dominating this one early on, and that really doesn’t change when we return from commercials. Finn finally lands a sling blade, and just when it looks like he’s going to get in some offense, the Singh Brothers knock Finn off the ropes. Apollo Crews then comes out to make the save, but he’s met by a big boot from Jinder.
Finn dives out to take out Jinder, and he lands a dropkick in the corner back in the ring. Finn climbs the ropes to land the Coup De Grace and gets the win.
Grade: This was the only match in which I was actually of sound mind enough to explain what was going on. Take that as you will.
Ember Moon and Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax and Tamina
That’s right – WWE announced that Texas native Ember Moon will be Ronda’s tag partner. Literally before Ember even makes it out to the ring, Nia and Tamina attack Ronda. Ember flies in, and the two send Nia and Tamina running out of the ring.
Nia and Tamina are teaming-up on Ember when we return from commercial until Ronda is tagged in quickly. Ember comes back soon after, and off a distraction from Nia, Ember eats a huge kick from Tamina.
Things don’t really pick up until Tamina accidentally knocks Nia off the apron. Ember gets the tag on Ronda soon after and strikes Tamina relentlessly. Ronda screams at Tamina to tag Nia in, and Tamina obliges. Tamina’s tagged right back in immediately again, and Ronda pulls Nia back into the ring. Tamina, still legal, gets in a striking exchange with Ronda until Ronda can get a pin, but it’s broken up by Nia.
Tamina nearly gets the pin on Ronda, but Ember lands the Eclipse, and Ronda transitions it into an Armbar. Tamina taps, and Ronda and Ember win.
Grade; Pretty fun, actually! The best way we could’ve ended this episode that didn’t involve the unbridled fury of Drew McIntyre.
That’s it for tonight, everyone. I’m sorry my heart just wasn’t in it tonight; tomorrow will be better. Thank you for tuning in with us, and goodnight!
