2. Seth Rollins Isn’t At 100-Percent

One of Seth Rollins’s defining victories in 2018 came at Survivor Series when he pinned Shinsuke Nakamura in a champion vs. champion match to help Raw establish its make-believe supremacy over SmackDown Live. It was a thrilling performance from both men, with Rollins taking the bragging rights in a difficult-to-predict match.

Prior to his win over Nakamura, Rollins had been focused greatly on Rollins, causing some fans, including me, to wonder if he’d lose to “The King of Strong Style” because of this lack of focus.

The answer was, “No”.

However, he’s in a different, more difficult position heading into WWE TLC 2018 against Ambrose. While he successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship in the main event of Raw, he was also beaten viciously by the unforgiving Corbin, who intimidating new referee Heath Slater into helping him.

While Slater’s assistance didn’t lead to a victory for Corbin, who must contend with Braun Strowman at TLC, he was able to impose his will on Rollins for most of the match. Earlier this year, we saw Rollins lose the Intercontinental Championship to Dolph Ziggler on an episode of Raw after calling for an “Open Challenge” despite being hobbled.

Rollins’s pride is what makes him such a great competitor, but it is also his downfall as a heroic character. Ambrose refers to Rollins’s pride as “ego”, and he noted in a backstage interview that this will play into his hands at TLC.

WWE shared a video of Rollins suffering the ill-effects of the match, which feeds into the narrative that Ambrose can take advantage of the damage.
