Elias vs. Bobby Lashley

Lashley gets cheap heat by cutting Elias off when he tries to play “Do You Know The Way To San Jose?” for the hometown crowd.

This match is actually on the main card; it’s just going to taken eighteen minutes for these guys to promo on one another.

Bobby lands a huge check off the ropes to kick off the match, and he immediately exits the ring to grab a ladder. Elias dropkicks Bobby though the ladder before grabbing the ladder himself.

Lio rush tries to attack the ladder as Elias tries to climb, but Elias charges him. Bobby comes back in to grapple with Elias before Elias lands a stuff knee.

Bobby lands the vertical suplex before grabbing another ladder. Instead of climbing, however, he tosses the ladder right at Elias. Elias returns the favor by grabbing another ladder and jabbing it into Bobby’s torso. Elias mule kicks Bobby from off the top rope, but Lashley lands a huge belly-to-belly, tossing Elias into a ladder.

Bobby goes to climb the ladder, but Elias stands to land strikes onto his back before giving Bobby a Spinebuster onto a ladder. Elias climbs the ladder and grabs his beloved Fender**.

However, not to be outdone, Bobby slams Elias with his guitar with the help of Lio Rush.

Grade: Honestly not the match I would have chosen for the pre-show. It could have gone on for way longer; while the set up of the feud was wonky, Lashley and Elias create sparks together with their similar powerhouse styles.

**Upon re-reading this, I realized I didn’t capitalize Fender, and that was rude. I’m sorry, Elias, and I’m sorry, Fender.
