Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House has been the best thing in WWE programming over the last month and his debut in his new gimmick is around the corner.
After years of wandering in the mid-card with no real direction, WWE decided to give Bray Wyatt a break and get him out of the eyes of the viewer. While Wyatt’s character was unlike anything else in WWE, it was not being booked properly and as a result, was getting rather stale.
Right when everyone seemed to stop caring where Wyatt went he returned in a weirdly different children’s show-like promo. Over the next month, Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House became one of the best parts of WWE programming and had people excited to see Wyatt back in action.
Not only was this refreshing to his character, but it was nice to see how well he pulled off this gimmick change, proving that Windham Lawrence Rotunda could really sell anything that the creative team puts in front of him.
On this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, Wyatt unveiled his secret, a new look for his character that sees him in a sinister clown mask.

If Wyatt is booked properly, this could be an extremely hot gimmick that could gain steam quick. Booking him like a legitimate horror villain is the best route and is the only real way to keep the kayfabe alive.
It is still unclear when Wyatt will return to action but it likely is not far off. We also don’t know which brand he’ll be a part of, as the Firefly Fun House segments have aired both on Raw and SmackDown Live.
Picking the right superstar to be his first dance partner back is an extremely important decision and here are three superstars that WWE could book against Wyatt in his return.

1. Matt Hardy
Matt Hardy might seem like the most boring inclusion on this list and to be quite honest, he probably is. We have already seen Hardy and Wyatt feud extensively in WWE and the fans might want something fresh for Wyatt upon his return into action.
However, there is value in bringing Wyatt back to feud with Hardy as it would come full circle for Wyatt’s new character. In case you forgot, it was Hardy that sent Wyatt off into the Lake of Reincarnation during the Ultimate Deletion.
Hardy then teamed with a reborn Wyatt, who was shortly off of television once the tag team lost steam. Now, over a year since the Ultimate Deletion, Wyatt is a completely reborn version of himself and who better to feud with than his last adversary?
Hardy has been teasing his Big Money gimmick and really does not have anything significant going on with Jeff Hardy out of action. This feud gives both guys something to do and would give Hardy the chance to finally put Wyatt over, something he did not do in the first chapter of their feud.
There was nothing wrong with booking the Ultimate Deletion how they did and it actually gave the creative team a good way to reinvent Wyatt. Now, Wyatt can get his revenge with a dominant win over Matt Hardy.

2. Daniel Bryan
Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan had a really good feud prior to Bryan’s ascendance to the WWE title that saw the baby face Bryan join The Wyatt Family only to eventually turn on Wyatt and company. Now, five years later, WWE can revisit this rivalry with the roles reverse and Wyatt coming back as a sinister face.

There is a built-in storyline that makes this easy to write into the programming: Erick Rowan. Rowan has served as Bryan’s sidekick over the last few months and was introduced as a member of The Wyatt Family.
The worst thing to do would be to create yet another faction with Wyatt that includes Rowan and Bryan, that is not the point of the feud. Instead, Wyatt can attempt to reap vengeance on Rowan as he is a part of Wyatt’s past. Wyatt, wanting to clear his past, starts feuding with Bryan as well as a result.
WWE can book Wyatt to screw over Bryan and Rowan at Money in the Bank, interfering in the match and attacking Rowan, allowing The Usos to win the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. Bryan, disgusted with losing yet another title, will then go after Wyatt, with the help of Rowan.
Wyatt would play the antihero while WWE can continue the “green thumb” Bryan gimmick as a heel. Wyatt can get the best of both Bryan and Rowan, definitely because of a pinfall over Rowan, to gain serious steam while protecting Bryan and potentially starting a feud with Rowan and Bryan.

3. Samoa Joe
A Samoa Joe-Bray Wyatt feud would certainly be refreshing for both guys as neither has feuded against each other as they were both always booked as heels. While they have had encounters, they have not enjoyed a personal one on one feud.
With Wyatt returning as a babyface, which seems to be the route because of the favorable response to his promos, opens the door for this fresh new feud.
This feud is not one that I came up with on my own. Instead, Wyatt potentially teased a feud with Joe in one of his latest tweets. While it might mean nothing, especially considering Wyatt’s activity on Twitter, it could also be foreshadowing the feud that is on the horizon.

This can be an extremely effective feud to reintroduce Wyatt to the WWE Universe while also booking him strongly. Joe has made a career in the WWE off of being a terrorizer and being someone that can choke anyone else out at any time.
Joe is one of the most intimidating superstars on the roster and if a returning Wyatt is able to not only defeat Joe but legitimately terrorize him then it could be huge for his character.
Seeing Joe become human and seeing Wyatt haunt him like a nightmare would make Wyatt’s return so impactful. WWE can even put the United States title on Wyatt and give him a run with the belt, although this character does not need a belt right away to be strong.
Instead, Wyatt can somehow cost Joe the title against Rey Mysterio, setting up their feud while giving Mysterio a run with the belt to put young talent over. Joe vs. Wyatt would be fun, brutal and can be extremely effective if booked properly.
