Braun Strowman vs. Bobby Lashley – Last Man Standing

After several weeks of goofy segments like Arm Wrestling Contests and Tug of Wars, who would have guessed that Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley would have escalated their feud to such a violent means? Well, they did just that when they sent each other crashing through an LED mini-tron.

To sell those injuries, both men took a week off Raw. Well, Strowman did at least. Lashley returned the next week to beat Rey Mysterio in quick succession. Seeing Lashley show up not only so unexpectedly, but not selling any of the previous week’s injuries, that tells me that they wanted Lashley to look strong for a reason.

They could have easily brought back The Monster Among Men to make him look strong as well, but he was nowhere to be seen. This tells me that they had Lashley look like a monster so that Strowman looks even stronger when he beats Lashley on Sunday. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it until I’m proven wrong.

Prediction: Braun Strowman

Ricochet (c) vs. AJ Styles – United States Championship

This one is a hard one to call. This is Ricochet’s first PPV title defense since when the title last month at Stomping Grounds. At the same time, this is the first PPV that AJ Styles is competing in since re-joining The Club and turning heel. Both men have a lot to win and can’t really afford to lose.

No matter how this match turns out, I feel like we are getting another rematch for SummerSlam somehow. Keeping that in mind, I feel like this match end’s in a draw somehow, likely a countout.

I know, I know, no one wants to see that, but it’s the easiest way out of either guy losing and it saves their real next match for a bigger stage at the next PPV.

Prediction: Draw
