1. Did Erick Rowan really act alone in attacking Roman Reigns?

On SmackDown Live, Erick Rowan cut a promo that certainly seemed to indicate he acted alone when he attacked Roman Reigns, but is that really the case?

In a plot as widespread as this has become, it’s honestly hard to believe that WWE is going to let this story end with Erick Rowan as the mastermind behind these attacks, regardless of how well he’s performed lately.

The potential is still there for a deranged Daniel Bryan to reveal that he’s willing to go to extreme lengths to prove he’s not a liar, or for someone completely out of left field to emerge as Reigns’ attacker.

For example, let’s not forget that Triple H was on the scene rather quickly at one of those attacks. Considering the history the entire McMahon family has with Roman Reigns, it wouldn’t be a stretch for him to be the nefarious figure pulling the strings in these attempted assaults.

Regardless of what you choose to believe however, Clash of Champions should give fans a definitive answer regarding this angle. A clean ending in favor of Roman Reigns, or even Erick Rowan, would send just as much of a message about this angle as a surprise interference taking advantage of the match’s no disqualification stipulation would.

dark. Next. Braun Strowman vs. Seth Rollins shouldn't end clean

Any of those outcomes should tell us once and for all what WWE’s plans for this long-winded, and occasionally poorly executed, storyline are.
