The WWE Raw after Survivor Series 2019 is set to take place tonight on November 25 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT live on the USA Network. With Raw only earning one victory in the brand war last night, there is bound to be rifts in the Raw locker room. Here are some results, highlights, and grades for the longest running weekly episodic television show in history.
On tonight’s episode of WWE Raw, there are two scheduled matches: (1) AJ Styles (c) vs. Humberto Carillo for the WWE United States Championship, and (2) Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka.
Two weeks ago, Humberto Carillo pinned AJ Styles in a six-man tag team match and thereby earned a United States Championship opportunity against AJ Styles for tonight.
Last night at Survivor Series, Charlotte intentionally tagged Asuka out of the match, which was an action Asuka did not take very lightly. She retaliated by spitting green mist into Charlotte’s face, thereby leading to her elimination in the Women’s Survivor Series match. This so-called Survivor Series betrayal elicited this bout for tonight’s Raw.
Another potential match that could occur on tonight’s Raw is Aleister Black vs. Buddy Murphy. Last week on Raw, Buddy Murphy knocked on Aleister Black’s door and taunted him about being too afraid to pick a fight with him. Unfortunately, Black answered the door as soon as Murphy left. Many fans have been itching for these two superstar to wrestle, and it could very well happen tonight.
According to WWE Now, the WWE Universe will also find out the answers to the following questions: (1) What is Becky Lynch’s response to Shayna Baszler’s triple threat victory last night at WWE Survivor Series? and (2) Who is next for WWE Champion Brock Lesnar?
With that being said, it’s now time to bleed red and plunge into a slur of surprises for WWE Raw, starting with Seth Rollins leading a Town Hall meeting with the Raw locker room.

Seth Rollins Town Hall Heel Promo
The locker room leader, Seth Rollins, is in the ring surrounded by all the superstars from the Raw locker room. After addressing the CM Punk chants, he talks about his concerns of NXT destroying Raw last night at Survivor Series. He talks about how all of the Raw superstars suck for losing at Survivor Series last night and asks for anyone to speak up.
Since no one spoke up, he called out Randy Orton and orated that he was the weak link on Team Raw last night. Instead of speaking up or retorting, Orton left ringside.
Rollins then calls out Charlotte Flair for not even being the last woman standing in the Women’s Survivor Series match. He wonders how Charlotte could be a Flair if she can’t even get the job done in leading her team. Instead of speaking up or retorting, Charlotte Flair left ringside.
Rollins then calls out Authors of Pain for being absent from Survivor Series. He articulates that Authors of Pain continuously talk about how big and bad they are but never show up to wrestle a single match. Henceforth, Rollins claims that Raw didn’t need them then and certainly does not need them now. Instead of speaking up or retorting, Charlotte Flair left ringside.
Rollins finally calls out Rey Mysterio for losing to Brock Lesnar last night at Survivor Series. Rollins boasts about beating Lesnar twice this year and calls Mysterio’s son stupid for interfering in the match and not helping him win.
After his comments against Mysterio, everyone except Kevin Owens left ringside. Rollins then tells Owens that he will never be Seth Rollins in a very condescending manner. Instead of speaking in his mic, Owens hit a Stunner to Rollins to close the segment.

Results: Seth Rollins turned heel and Kevin Owens Stunned Rollins
Rating: 3.0/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Seth Rollins seemed very heelish in his promo against the Raw locker room. This could be a confirmed heel turn or it could just be a red herring. Either way, it was a decent segment to address the shellacking Raw took at Survivor Series last night to NXT and SmackDown. Because of his final interaction with Kevin Owens in this segment, Rollins challenged Kevin Owens to a match in the main event tonight.

Bobby Lashley vs. Titus O’Neil [Grudge Match]
Bobby Lashley and Titus O’Neil wrestled for only a short period of time. Apparently, Rusev received a restraining order from Lana before Raw aired live. He violated the restraining order and decided to interrupt this match and attack Bobby Lashley for a DQ finish.
He tossed Lashley into the steel steps and was about to toss Lashley into the announce table near the stage area. However, police enforcement came in to handcuff and arrest Rusev for violating the restraining order.
As Rusev was getting handcuffed, he pushed Lashley off the stage and kicked the metal stage equipment on top of Lashley to get his revenge. The police enforcement then take Rusev to the backstage area.
Lashley is then taken on a stretcher to a medical facility. Meanwhile, Lana cries for Lashley’s well being as the segment fades to black.

Result: Bobby Lashley (by DQ)
Rating: 2.0/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Honestly, the segments between Bobby Lashley and Rusev each week are always questionable. It will be interesting to see what the end goal is for this consistently told storyline. As for now, it is just egregious and does not deserve much praise.

Authors of Pain vs. Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder [Tag Match]
As Lashley gets strolled to the backstage area, Authors of Pain enter the ring to deliver the Last Chapter, Super Collider, and Powerbomb to squash Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder for a very easy tag match victory. This is their way of sending a message to the Raw locker room and making a statement.
It's #Thanksgiving week and all, but not sure how @ZackRyder & @TheCurtHawkins will be grateful after this.#AOP @Akam_WWE & @Rezar_WWE just DOMINATED the competition on #RAW! #WWERaw pic.twitter.com/YmxAa8YmYW
— WWE (@WWE) November 26, 2019
Result: Authors of Pain
Rating: 1.0/5.0 Stars
Analysis: This was a squash by Authors of Pain and nothing special. Since they got called out by Seth Rollins at the start of the show, they decided to take matters into their own hands and show why they are one of the most dangerous tag teams in the Raw locker room. It will be interesting to see if they challenge the Viking Raiders for the Raw Tag Team Championships anytime soon.

Andrade vs. Akira Tozawa [Grudge Match]
Andrade starts off the match with a vicious powerbomb to Akira Tozawa. He hits some knife edge chops to Tozawa in the corner and locks in a chin lock. He then attempts to do some Eddie Guerrero suplexes, but Tozawa counters with a spectacular Hurricanrana and German Suplex. Tozawa goes on the top rope to finish Andrade off, but Andrade stops Tozawa at the top rope, hits the double knees to Tozawa at the corner, and executes the Hammerlock DDT for the three-count and the victory.

Rating: 1.5/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Although Akira Tozawa got some offense in this match, Andrade dominated most of the match and won with ease even without Zelina Vega’s help. Nothing special here. Hopefully, Andrade actually gets a feud on the road to TLC in December. After the match, the cameras shift to the titantron where Aleister Black calls out Buddy Murphy for his actions last week.

Matt Hardy vs. Buddy Murphy [Grudge Match]
Buddy Murphy hits multiple stomps to Matt Hardy at the corner turnbuckle and hurls him through the middle rope into the steel post. As Matt Hardy rolls to the outside, Murphy chases him and slams him into the barricade.
Murphy tosses Hardy back into the ring and goes onto the top rope. Murphy flies, but Hardy counters with a Side Effect. Hardy then attempts the Bull Dog. Murphy counters the Bull Dog, but Hardy manages to get on the top rope and nail Murphy with an elbow to the back of Murphy’s head.
Hardy then signals for and attempts the Twist of Fate, but Murphy counters and hits three running knees to Hardy for the three-count and the victory. Murphy then grabs a mic to call out Aleister Black, who shows up very quickly.
Aleister Black performs an elbow strike and a knee strike to Buddy Murphy, making his nose bleed a bit more. Murphy then retreats ad he and Black await to fight another day.

Rating: 2.0/5.0 Stars
Analysis: It was great to see Matt Hardy back but saddening to see him lose. Nonetheless, Hardy is a veteran and Murphy needed to win this match in order to look strong for his new rival, Aleister Black. The post-match attack was a decent way to tease their feud going forward. Hopefully, their eventual match ends up on PPV. The cameras then shift to a backstage interview between Charly Caruso and Charlotte Flair as Charlotte discusses her scuffle with Asuka last night at Survivor Series and how she did no wrong in leading her team responsibly.

AJ Styles (c) vs. Humberto Carillo [United States Championship]
Before Humberto Carillo could get in the ring for his championship match against AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson attacked Carillo from behind and delivered a Magic Killer to Carillo on the steel steps. While AJ Styles grabs a mic to make fun of Carillo, Ricochet runs in to check up on Carillo and challenges AJ Styles for the United States Championship. Styles makes fun of Ricochet by saying that he is no super hero since he didn’t make it out in time to save Carillo from such an attack. Besides, he doesn’t have a cape.
Like Ricochet, Randy Orton then comes out to challenge AJ Styles for the United States Championship. AJ Styles retorts that he does not have to prove anything to Ricochet and Orton since he already defeated them in the past so no title match is necessary.
Drew McIntyre then comes out to talk about his sexy accent, and his conquering of Braun Strowman and Walter last night at Survivor Series. He challenges AJ Styles to fight him for the first time, but Styles makes the excuse that he is a tad sore from last night.
Rey Mysterio comes out to call Styles on his excuses since he was also sore from his war against Lesnar last night at Survivor Series. Styles retorts that everyone is so needy and don’t deserve a championship match.
Ricochet then thinks of a bright idea that he, Orton, McIntyre, and Mysterio should battle in a fatal 4 way match to determine the number one contender for Styles’ United States Championship. Styles thinks that’s a dumb idea, but Gallows and Anderson felt it would be fitting for the hot Chicago crowd here tonight. Henceforth, Styles admits that it would be great to see these four beat the living hell out of each other before he takes the scraps later tonight.

Result: No Contest
Rating: 2.0/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Honestly, it’s hard to be completely mad at this. Styles has already defeated Carillo and no one believed that Carillo would actually dethrone Styles when considering how fluky he has been booked lately. Now, there are four competitors more believable enough to dethrone Styles. It was a tad random, but should still be an exciting fatal 4 way to watch.

Ricochet vs. Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Rey Mysterio [Fatal 4 Way United States Championship #1 Contender’s Match]
The babyfaces Ricochet and Rey Mysterio utilize their high flying maneuvers to take out Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre early on in the match. However, Orton and McIntyre eventually catch up with them. Randy Orton slides Mysterio abdomen first outside the ring.
The heels Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre then team up on Ricochet in the ring. Mysterio gets back in the ring to help Ricochet but Orton delivers an uppercut to Mysterio and McIntyre tosses Mysterio back outside the ring.
Orton and Ricochet then refocus on Ricochet, but Ricochet rallies back with a running dropkick to McIntyre. Orton stops Ricochet with a Scoop Slam. Mysterio then bounces off the ropes for an aerial meteora to Orton and a side rope crossbody to McIntyre.
Mysterio then focuses on Ricochet on the top rope, but Ricochet retaliates and punches Mysterio off the top rope. McIntyre gets on the top rope with Ricochet, but Ricochet counters McIntyre as well as he remains hanging in a tree of woe at the corner turnbuckle. Mysterio gets back on the top rope with Ricochet, but Orton quickly gets back into the ring and pushes Ricochet off the top rope.
Orton then grabs Mysterio for a Superplex. However, McIntyre, who is still hanging in a tree of woe, gets back up in an upright position and grabs and suplexes Orton as all three men go tumbling down to the center of the ring.

The O.C. then appear at ringside to get a closer eye at this match. Back from commerical, McIntyre and Ricochet are in the ring. Ricochet hits a picture perfect dropkick to McIntyre. Orton comes in the ring and grabs Ricochet for a Hanging DDT from the ropes for a two-count as McIntyre breaks it up.
McIntyre and Orton have a stare off in the ring, share some words, and deliver some knife edge chops to each other. Orton then thumbs McIntyre in the eye to get the upper hand, but McIntyre retaliates with the Glasglow Kiss. Ricochet then jumps off the ropes to hit a flying clothesline to McIntyre and standing Shooting Star Press for the two-count.
Ricochet drop kicks Mysterio off the apron and runs into an Alabama Slam by McIntyre. Ricochet counters the Alabama Slam into a roll up attempt, but McIntyre kicks out and hits a powerbomb to Riocochet for the two-count. McIntyre then signals for the Claymore. Before McIntyre could strike Ricochet with his signature maneuver, Randy Orton runs into the ring with an RKO to McIntyre.
Orton pins McIntyre, but Gallows and Anderson pull Orton’s leg to stop the count. Rey Mysterio then bungee jumps off the ropes to hit a meteora to Ricochet but transitions it into a small package for the three-count and the win. Rey Mysterio is the official number one contender for the United States Championship, and he will battle AJ Styles NEXT!

AJ Styles (c) vs. Rey Mysterio [United States Championship]
With Rey Mysterio not being at one hundred percent, this should be an easy victory for AJ Styles. But it is never smart to count out Rey Mysterio. AJ Styles takes full control early on in the match with ground-based attacks to Mysterio. He hits a picture perfect suplex to Mysterio.
Mysterio tries to fight back but Styles traps Mysterio in a tree of woe at the corner turnbuckle and hits a basement dropkick to Mysterio in his gut. Styles then locks Mysterio in a chin lock. Mysterio tries to fight back but Styles slams his head to the mat.
Rey Mysterio then attempts to rally back but gets his left knee caught in the ropes. Styles grabs Mysterio to hit a snake eyes onto the turnbuckle, but Mysterio counters and pushes Styles into the steel post. Mysterio then hits an Enziguiri to Styles and Styles falls onto the middle rope for a 619. Mysterio is about to dial it up but Karl Anderson trips Mysterio.
Because of this interference, the referee banned Anderson and Gallows from the ring. The show then transitions to a commercial break.

Back from commercial, Styles has Mysterio on the top rope. Mysterio counters with elbows to Styles’ head, but Styles continues his attacks on Mysterio’s back. Styles puts Mysterio in a tree of woe once again and charges at Mysterio with a basement drop kick, but Mysterio sits up and dodges Styles’ attack as Styles slides right into the steel post.
Mysterio then rallies and executes a meteora and a flying headscissors to Styles. He then punches Styles in the corner five times and executes a chicken wing bulldog to Styles for the two-count. The crowd is chanting 619 as they root for Mysterio.
Mysterio goes back on the top rope. Styles stops him and attempts a suplex. Mysterio bites Styles’ left hand, but Styles fireman carries Mysterio regardless and delivers a neckbreaker for the two-count. Styles attempts the Styles Clash but Mysterio counters with the Sunset Flip Powerbomb for the two-count.
Mysterio dials it up for the 619, but Styles was knocked right into the referee! Mysterio goes on the top rope and sees the referee is down. He quickly goes for the cover as he pleads for the referee to get back up. Despite being banned from ringside, The O.C. come back into the ring to distract Mysterio.
Randy Orton surprisingly runs to the ring to help Mysterio. Styles attempts the Phenomenal Forearm on Orton. He misses and Mysterio dials AJ Styles for the 619 into the RKO and a Frog Splash for the three-count. Rey Mysterio is the new United States Champion as he gets back the championship he relinquished months ago. He then celebrates with his son, Dominick.

Analysis: What a show-stealer! This was an amazing form of retribution for Mysterio from losing to Lesnar last night. It was questionable why Orton helped Mysterio, but he did need to get his revenge against The O.C. for screwing him in the number one contender’s match. This was a shocking title change and an incredible match. Back from commercial, Kevin Owens then cuts a backstage promo on Seth Rollins and his condescending comments earlier in the night, calling him out for his comments and threatening to show him later why Raw is the Kevin Owens Show.

Charlotte Flair starts off very aggressive with Asuka, delivering a strong right hand and slamming her into the barricade wall. Kairi Sane distracts Charlotte at ringside, and Asuka capitalizes by bashing Charlotte’s head on the turnbuckle.
Charlotte retaliates and does the same to Asuka. Asuka then delivers a Russian Leg Sweep to Charlotte. Both women are now in the center of the ring, grappling each other with multiple submission holds and counters.
Asuka then gains back control with a Hip Attack to Charlotte in the corner turnbuckle. She shoots some kicks to Charlotte’s chest and some backfists to Charlotte’s head. She bounces off the ropes for momentum but runs into a Big Boot by Charlotte.
Charlotte was sick of Kairi Sane distracting at ringside and chases after her, so that Sane runs away into crowd and later the backstage area. The show then goes to commericial break.

Charlotte charges at Asuka in the ring but Asuka counters with a German Suplex.

Charlotte then goes on the top rope for the moonsault. Asuka moves out of the way, but Charlotte still does a standing senton bomb onto Asuka for the two-count. Asuka rolls up Charlotte for a small package but Charlotte kicks out and charges at Asuka at the corner turnbuckle. Asuka counters with a codebreaker for the two-count.
She goes on the top rope for a flying crossbody but misses. Charlotte attempts the Natural Selection but Asuka counters with the Triangle Submission Hold. Charlotte counters the Triangle Submission into the Boston Crab. Will Asuka tap?
No, Asuka gets to the bottom rope. Charlotte attempts the Figure 4, but Asuka continues to revolt until she gets booted in the face. Charlotte then jumps onto Asuka’s knee in the corner and spears Asuka for the two-count. Kairi Sane is back at ringside and Charlotte chases after her again and catches her this time.
She then gets back in the ring with Asuka. The referee is distracted by Kairi Sane. Asuka spits the green mist in Charlotte’s face when the ref wasn’t looking and rolls her up for the three count.

Result: Asuka
Rating: 3.0/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Lots of counters in this match and some great ground-based offense. Overall, a decent match to watch and had sufficient in-ring psychology implementation, given the history between these two superstars. It was a good call for Asuka to win here since she never really redeemed herself from losing both her streak and SmackDown Women’s Championship to Charlotte. This should also give Charlotte a reason to chase after the Women’s Tag Team Championships since she is no longer in the Women’s Championship picture with Becky Lynch.
