Now that Survivor Series ie behind us, the brand warfare has been silenced and each brand now has the chance to refocus on building up their own respective brands and do what they do best: steal the show. In lieu of all the table collisions, ladder drops, and chair matches in store for tonight, the WWE Universe should expect that some of these matches could be potential matches of the year.
With that being said, it’s time to plunge into a plenitude of surprises for this year’s last PPV. Let’s now recap the televised matches and segments for the WWE TLC 2019 card, starting with the kickoff match between Humberto Carillo and Andrade.

Humberto Carrillo vs. Andrade (w/Zelina Vega) [Kickoff Grudge Match]
Will Zelina Vega cost Andrade the match again? We shall see. Andrade and Humberto Carrillo perform some ground based offense to start the match and Andrade takes control with a running shoot kick and knee strike in the corner for the two-count. Andrade Irish whips Zelina Vega for a back body drop.
He Irish whips Carrillo again but Carrillo counters with an elbow strike, and an arm drag. Andrade rolls out of the ring and Carrillo attempts an aerial assault, but Andrade pushes Carrillo off the top rope. He grabs Carrillo outside, delivers a knife edge chop, and tosses him back into the ring. Andrade locks in a Cross Armbreaker on the ropes for the four-count by the referee.
He then continues to target the left shoulder of Carrillo as Carrillo attempts to rally back. He feeds off the WWE Universe in the Target Center and delivers a head strike to Andrade. He attempts an Enziguiri but misses. Andrade attempts to take control, but Carrillo delivers a Hurricanrana. Andrade charges at Carrillo but falls outside the ring.

Andrade stops him and catches him in a tree of woe to deliver a Double Stomp outside the ring. He tosses him back into the ring for the two-count. Crowd is chanting “This is Awesome.” Indeed, it is. Carrillo counters a Suplex into an Enziguiri. Andrade counters the Enziguiri into a Clothesline.
Both men get up. Carrillo charges at Andrade but Andrade counters with a knee to his face. Andrade goes to the top rope, but Carrillo stops Andrade with an Enziguiri off the top rope. Andrade gets Carrillo at the corner turnbuckle and delivers the Double Stomp for the two-count.
Zelina Vega gets on the apron to distract Carrillo. Andrade almost bumps into Vega like he did on Raw, but he does not make the same mistake again. Carrillo rolls up Andrade but Andrade counters the roll up into a small package of his own.
Andrade goes to the top rope, but Carrillo then takes control with an Inverted Hurricanrana and Moonsault off the top rope for the three-count and the victory. Zelina Vega comes in the ring to console Andrade, but Andrade brushes her off and leaves the ring in anger.

Analysis: Great match! There was some good in-ring psychology with an amazing throwback to the incident between Andrade and Vega that occurred on Raw last week. The crowd was already on their feet for the kickoff match and it goes to show how talented these superstars are in the ring. Good way to start the show, and it’ll be interesting to see how the partnership between Andrade and Vega blows up in the weeks to come.

The New Day (c) vs. The Revival [SmackDown Tag Team Championships: Ladder Match]
Kofi Kingston and Big E enter the ring. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder enter the ring. The SmackDown Tag Team Championships are suspended approximately twenty feet above the ring. WWE TLC 2019 is officially underway with a potential show-stealing match. This is The Revival’s first ladder match in the WWE, so it’ll be interesting to see if their lack of experience in ladder matches will play a factor here.
All four men stare off as this match begins torando style with a flurry of punches. Dawson and Wilder irish whip Kingston and Big E, but Kingston and Big E counter it into Irish Whips of their own and deliver double elbow strikes and double team shoot kicks and splashes to Dawson as Wilder rolls out of the ring.
Kingston and Big E then roll out of the ring to grab ladders, but Dawson and Wilder stop them with some kicks to their heads and grab ladders. As soon as they approach the ring, Big E stops Dawson by pushing him into the steel post and tossing him over the announce table. Kingston stops Wilder by smashing his head into the ladder near the steel steps.
Dawson rallies back and hurls Big E into the steel steps. He runs around the ring to help Wilder team up on Kingston and slam him into a group of ladder. They toss Kingston back into the ring but Kingston counters with a monkey flip and attempts to dropkick both Dawson and Wilder.
However, Revival countered with a ladder strike to his knees. Dawson and Wilder attempt to strike Kingston with the ladder again, but Kingston again counters with a monkey flip and springboards off the ropes to take out both Dawson and Wilder on the ladder.
Big E comes in to help Kingston get a ladder in the ring. Dawswon and Wilder stop Kingston and slam him into the pile of ladders outside. Big E takes control, tosses Dawson into the pile of ladders, and places Wilder on the ladder for the Big Splash, but Dawson comes to the rescue and pulls Wilder out of the danger zone and allows Big E to splash his abdomen onto the ladder.
Kingston attempts to hit a flying plancha off the top rope but Revival catches him and slams his knees on the ladder. The Revival climb the ladder to capture the championships, but Big E runs to deliver a Belly to Belly Splash to Dawson. He then climbs the ladder with Wilder, but Dawson goes on the top rope and delivers a missile dropkick from the top rope to force Big E to fall to the floor.

Big E rolls to the corner turnbuckle with his legs open. The Revival put the ladder in between his legs and dropkick him. They deliver a back suplex to Big E onto the ladder. Kingston runs into the ring and The Revival attempts to deliver the same to Kingston, but Kingston counters with an innovative monkey flip ladder strike to Dawson and Wilder.
Big E locks Dawson in the Brock Lock. Wilder attempts to stop it, but Kingston tosses Wilder outside the ring. Big E and Kingston then set up the ladder to retrieve the championships. Kingston climbs the ladder while Big E supports, but The Revival runs in to toss Big E outside the ring and shove the ladder to drop Kingston.
https://twitter.com/WWE/status/1206369800441581568
Kingston maintains his balance on the rope and counters the ladder drop with a Torando DDT to Dawson and a Trouble in Paradise to Wilder. The former WWE Champion is on fire and the crowd is chanting his name with admiration. Kingston climbs the ladder, but Revival delivers a Shatter Machine to Kingston. They then climb the ladder, but Big E runs in to stop Wilder and Spear him outside the ring.
Big E grabs a second ladder and places it aside the ladder already in the ring. He drives Dawson’s head into one of the ladders. He gets a third ladder outside the ring and into the ring as a bridge from the corner turnbuckle to one of the ladders in the center of the ring.
https://twitter.com/WWE/status/1206369537102352385
He places Dawson on the bridged ladder and goes on the top rope but Wilder stops him and Dawson capitalizes with a Superplex through the Ladder. The ladder did not break, so Dawson puts Big E on the ladder and Wilder goes on the top rope to deliver a picture perfect Frog Splash on Big E through the table.
Crowd is chanting “This is Awesome!” Revival climb up the ladder for the championships. Kingston bungee jumps off the ropes to stop The Revival but they lock Kingston in a tree of woe on the ladder. Big E comes to the rescue and delivers a BIG ENDING on Wilder off the top of the ladder.
Dawson then attempts to grab the championships before Kingston wakes up from his tree of woe. Kingston got back up just in time, bashes Dawson’s face with the SmackDown Tag Team Championships suspended above the ring, and unhooks the championships for the victory and retention.

The bell rings and Black instantly goes for a Black Mass Kick but Murphy counters by rolling outside the ring. They perform some ground based offense and approach a stalemate as their wrestling styles match each other so efficiently.
Black delivers an arm drag to Murphy and locks in the arm, but Murphy delivers a knee to the jaw in the corner. Murphy charges at Black, but Black counters with another arm drag and arm lock. Murphy counters with an elbow strike, but Black counters with two knee strikes.
Murphy rolls out of the ring and Black attempts a knee strike off the apron. Murphy grabs Black’s foot and slams Black’s head off the apron and into the steel steps. Murphy then tosses Black back into the ring and focuses on Black’s jaw.
Black tries to rally back with a fireman’s carry but Murphy counters with elbow strikes to Black’s jaw and an arm lock. Black tries to rally back again, but Murphy tosses Black over the top rope jaw first into the side apron. Black’s nose is bleeding, like a pig snout.
Murphy slams Black onto the announce table and grabs Black’s jacket to intimate him. Black gets back into the ring. Murphy tosses the jacket in Black’s face, but Black ducks and delivers a knee strike to Murphy for the two-count. It appears that Jerry “The King” Lawler caught the jacket with his face instead at the commentary table.
Murphy and Black have a knee and elbow strike frenzy. Black rallies back with a basement kick and Shining Wizard to Murphy. He proceeds to deliver a Black Moonsault from the side ropes to Murphy for the two count.
Murphy rolls out of the ring, and Black meets him on the apron. He delivers a knee strike and a Black Moonsault off the top rope to Murphy outside the ring. He then tosses Murphy back into the ring and delivers a jumping knee strike to Murphy for the two-count. He attempts his submission hold, but Murphy wiggles out of it.
Black shoves Murphy to the corner turnbuckle and places him on the top rope. Black delivers a knee strike and attempts a superplex, but Murphy wiggles out of it and counters with three Superkicks and a picture perfect Powerbomb for the two-count.
Buddy Murphy screams: You want to fight? He attempts the knee strike, but Black grabs his leg. Murphy retaliates and hits plenty of knee strikes and a Brainbuster for the two-count. Both men get up at opposite corner turnbuckles.
They perform a ton load of knee strike counters. Black then finds his opening and jacks the jaw of Buddy Murphy with a Black Mass for the three count. Lights out!

Analysis: Solid match with plenty of knee strikes, as expected. It was tough for this match to come after a spectacular tag team ladder match, but this match still delivered. Now, Black awaits his next challenger. The camera then shifts to Rusev in a backstage interview with Charly Caruso. Caruso asks about his reactions to Bobby Lashley and Lana. Rusev claims that he is elated since he does not have to pay alimony and he feels like himself again as a single man because every day is Rusev Day.

Viking Raiders (c) vs. The O.C. [Raw Tag Team Championships: Open Challenge]
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson answer the challenge and talk about how much Erik and Ivar want to avenge the loss from the tag team turmoil best in the world match at Crown Jewel. The match begins with some ground based offense.
For some strange reason, there are people eating Kentucky Fried Chicken at ringside. The Raiders perform some double team moves, but Gallows gains back momentum with a superkick outside the ring to Ivar and Anderson delivers a picture perfect spinebuster inside the ring to Erik.
He then tags in Gallows, who locks Erik in a chin lock. He tags Anderson in who delivers a shoot kick for the two-count to Erik. Erik rallies back and hot tags Ivar. Here comes Ivar! Iver delivers two shoulder blocks, overhead toss, gutrench suplex, and running crossbody to Anderson.
Gallows runs in to distract Ivar, but Ivar counters with a back elbow strike. Ivar goes on the top rope but Anderson stops him at the top rope and he picks up Ivar with Gallows for a double team back suplex neckbreaker.
They pick up Ivar, but Ivar counters with a cartwheel and a double back elbow strike. He tags in Erik and delivers a Viking Experience to Anderson for the two-count after Gallows breaks it up. Gallows then delivers a Gallows Pole to Erik and a Big Boot to Ivar.
Ivar then flies on top of everyone outside the ring and the ref counts to 10 for a double countout. Gallows and Anderson are upset about the result and look at the KFC table. They set up the table but Raiders bounce back and powerbomb The O.C. into the table to close the match. Despite the inconclusive finish, the Viking Raiders are still the Raw Tag Team Champions.

Result: Double Count Out; Viking Raiders Retain
Grade: 2.5/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Not a bad tag team match, but it was nothing special. The inconclusive finish was not welcomed warmly by the fans. It was a bad booking call to extend this feud any further because the rivalry between these two tag teams should have ended here so that Raiders can focus on Authors of Pain in the near future. Nonetheless, the raid continues and is purportedly finger licking good, thanks to the KFC festival at ringside. The camera then shifts to The Miz backstage with Charly Caruso as he mentally prepares for Bray Wyatt tonight. He conveys how this is the most important and personal match of his entire life as he fights as a husband, as a father, and a man protecting his family.

Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin (w/Drake Maverick) [TLC Match]
King Corbin enters the ring and cuts a promo about how Reigns will learn to respect his king. Roman Reigns does not get a chance to enter the ring since Drake Maverick runs in to stop Reigns. Reigns retaliates by powerbombing Maverick into a table.
Reigns then proceeds to fight King Corbin in the crowd. They get back into the ring, but Corbin rallies back with a Deep Six and the two-count. Reigns tries to rally back with an Irish Whip, but Corbin counters and maneuvers himself around the ring post to deliver a running clothesline to Reigns for the two-count.
Corbin hurls Reigns into the steel steps and smashes the ladder on top of Reigns’ back. He tosses Reigns back into the ring and whacks Reigns with the steel chair. He wedges the steel chair at the corner turnbuckle between the second and third ropes. He attempts to slam Reigns through it, but Reigns counters with an uppercut and a flying clothesline.
He focuses on Corbin in the corner with ten clotheslines and a big boot after rebounding off the ropes. Reigns signals for the Superman Punch. King Corbin counters with the Chokeslam. Reigns counters that and Irish whips Corbin into the chair. Corbin avoids the chair and maneuvers himself around the steel post to deliver a Chokeslam Backbreaker for the two-count.

Reigns checks up on Corbin, but Corbin whacks Reigns with a dog food can and chokeslams him through the table for the two-count. Corbin drapes the announce tables outside the ring, grabs Reigns in the ring, and tosses him outside the ring to potentially crash him through the announce tables. He picks up Reigns on the announce table in a powerbomb position, but Reigns counters with a Samoan Drop through the announce table.

The disdain between these two is unreal in this hellacious battle. Reigns shouts ‘HOOORRAAA’ and runs around the ring to deliver a Spear to King Corbin through the barricade wall, but he runs into a Super Kick by Dolph Ziggler outta nowhere. Corbin tosses one of their security guards onto the floor and he and Ziggler get dog food and handcuffs to punish them for not getting the job done. Reigns then runs in with a Drive By to Corbin and Ziggler on the apron.
All the security guards run in to charge at Reigns but Reigns attacks all of them with a kendo stick. The Revival then runs in to stop Reigns but Reigns delivers Superman Punches to both Dawson and Wilder. King Corbin runs to capitalize but Reigns tosses Corbin outside the ring.
Corbin, The Revival, and the security guards are all outside the ring. Reigns rebounds off the ropes and suicide dives onto everyone outside the ring. He tosses Corbin back into the ring and gets ready for the Spear with the ‘HOOORRAAAA,’ but Ziggler runs in with a steel chair attack to Reigns. and a Zig Zag. Crowd is chanting ‘Uso,’ but Usos do not show up.
The Revival deliver a Shatter Machine to Reigns and King Corbin follows that up with the End of Days on the steel chair for the three-count pinfall and the victory.

Result: King Corbin
Grade: 3.5/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Did the WWE really need ten people to help King Corbin beat Roman Reigns? Wow, that is a sad outlook but it’s true. It would have probably been better off if Reigns just won, but King Corbin needs to maintain his prestige as King of the Ring so this was WWE’s way of keeping both men looking strong in this bout. Despite the questionable booking decision, the match was a solid spotfest and the inclusion of the dog food was a nice added touch from a storyline standpoint. What a 2019 for King Corbin. It will be interesting to see if Reigns will ever defeat Corbin, which he hasn’t done yet. It is quite lucid that this feud is far from over. A promo package is then shown for Bray Wyatt and The Miz, as their match is coming up NEXT!

Bray Wyatt vs. The Miz [Non-Title Grudge Match]
The Miz enters the ring. Bray Wyatt enters the ring in his colorful Firefly Funhouse entrance as the crowd chants ‘Yowie Wowie.’ The match is underway and The Miz comes right out of the box with a swift shoot kick and multiple knee strikes at the corner turnbuckle.
Wyatt begs Miz to stop, but Miz continues the knee strikes. Miz tries to tear the features off Wyatt’s face as Wyatt laughs about it. This man needs help. Miz then delivers ‘It’ Kicks to Wyatt at the corner and performs an offensive onslaught on Bray Wyatt with running knees to Wyatt in the corner and an Awesome Clothesline.
Wyatt quickly grabs Miz for a Sister Abigail off the Awesome Clothesline but The Miz counters the Sister Abigail into Skull Crushing Finale. However, he does not go for the cover. He grabs Wyatt’s arm and Wyatt begs Miz to pop it. Miz pops it, and Wyatt goes outside the ring to slam his arm into the barricade as a way to inflict more pain on himself.
Wyatt crazily loves the pain. The Miz grabs Wyatt and slams him into the announce table. He charges at Wyatt but Wyatt dumps him into the timekeeper’s area and delivers a Sister Abigail. Bray Wyatt gets back in the ring and awaits The Miz to get counted out.
The Miz gets back in the ring at the count of nine and Wyatt delivers a Sister Abigail to The Miz for the three-count and the victory. Wyatt says that he’s sorry and forgives The Miz.

The ‘Fiend’ Bray Wyatt then pops up on the titantron and Wyatt agrees that he will do it. He grabs a mallet from under the ring, and it looks like he is going to attack The Miz with the mallet. The lights then dim and it is thought that The Fiend would show up. Instead, Daniel Bryan returns with a Running Knee to Wyatt and a new hair cut to represent when Wyatt ripped off his hair as the Fiend under the ring.
As the crown chants ‘Yes,’ he delivers running dropkicks to Wyatt and another Running Knee. He makes Wyatt suffer with shoot kicks to Wyatt in the center of the ring. He then picks up the Mallet to whack Wyatt, but lights dim and Wyatt disappears. Bryan chants ‘Yes’ with the crowd to close the segment.

Rusev retaliates with a shoot kick and grabs the kendo stick to whack at Lashley relentlessly. Lana jumps on Rusev’s back to distract Rusev and Lashley capitalizes with a spear to Rusev through the table but botches that since the table did not break. The Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka and Kairi Sane from the Kabuki Warriors make their entrance, looking ready for battle and green mist. The Women’s Tag Team Championships are suspended above the ring and this is the first PPV main event for the Women’s Tag Team Division.
Match begins with an all-out brawl amongst the four wrestlers. Kairi Sane is on the apron and sprints into a Big Boot by Charlotte Flair. Lynch and Charlotte then play catch with Kairi Sane on the announce table. Asuka makes the save and helps Sane dropkick Charlotte’s face into the steel chair. Lynch then delivers a drop toe hold to Sane on the ladder and double team Asuka to deliver a power bomb on the steel post.
Lynch and Charlotte set up the ladder but Sane starts tossing chairs into the ring, causing a ruckus. Lynch and Charlotte toss the chairs back at Sane. Sane goes crazy and goes under the ring. Lynch and Charlotte attempt to catch Sane, but Sane gets pulled back out of the ring with a fire extinguisher and blows the smoke in the face of Lynch and Charlotte.

They proceed to target the Women’s Tag Team Championships on the ladder. Charlotte attempts to stop them but Asuka delivers a swift sliding kick to Charlotte on the apron. They toss Charlotte over the barricade wall. Meanwhile, Becky is still tied up.
Asuka and Kairi Sane then climb the ladder, but Charlotte comes back with a kendo stick and whacks the Kabuki Warriors with it. She tosses Asuka into the barricade wall and delivers a Fallaway Slam to Sane in the barricade wall.

Unfortunately, the table did not break.
Charlotte then delivers a spear to Sane outside the ring and a powerbomb into the table. Asuka comes back to take control and bury Lynch and Charlotte with tables, ladders, and chairs. She wakes Sane up from the table crash.

Charlotte puts Asuka on the table and goes on the top rope for a potential Moonsault through the table but Asuka stops her and grabs Charlotte for a jackknife powerbomb into the table outside the ring. Lynch grabs Asuka for an Exploder Suplex into the Ladder. She’s all alone now. She goes into the ring to quickly climb the ladder, but Asuka comes back.
Lynch whacks Asuka with the rope, but it’s not enough. Asuka locked the rope on the ladder and pulled the rope to toss Lynch off the ladder lasso style. Asuka climbs the ladder to retrieve the women’s tag team championships. There is then a brawl amongst Reigns, Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Revival, New Day, and Street Profits. Roman delivers a SPEAR to Corbin from the top stage into everyone in the crowd to close the show.
For the second straight year, @WWEAsuka celebrates a top a ladder at #WWETLC...

Results: Kabuki Warriors
Grade: 4.0/5.0 Stars
Analysis: Excellent main event! Not sure why we had to end the show on a men’s brawl when the attention should be on the women who just went to war. But ay, that’s WWE. #WomenRevolution
