Bianca Belair

Most people seem to think that Rhea Ripley will defend the NXT Championship against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36, but this assumes that Ripley will defeat Bianca Belair at TakeOver: Portland. And that may not be a safe assumption.

Charlotte has effusively praised Belair in the past as “the future” of WWE. When watching Belair in the ring, it’s easy to see why. She has EVERYTHING you could ever want in a future top star. Belair is charismatic, innovative, intelligent, and athletic. The “It” factor? Belair exudes it.

So despite Belair’s multiple title losses to Shayna Baszler early in 2019, don’t rule out a shock win over Ripley in February. And even if it doesn’t materialize, Belair could still have a place on the WrestleMania main card. Based on her Royal Rumble performance, which matched Baszler’s for eliminations, WWE knows she has a major role to play in their future.

The Velveteen Dream

There isn’t a wrestler in WWE with more overall talent and potential than The Velveteen Dream, who established himself as a star player in NXT in 2017 during his feud with Aleister Black, who is currently on an undefeated run as a member of the Raw roster.

The Dream is a once-in-a-lifetime performer, and he has been sorely missed due to a back injury. But he should be returning to NXT this week, based on a recent vignette tease.

A healthy Dream 100 percent needs to be on the WrestleMania 36 card. He adds so much to any show he’s on, as he is capable of putting the spotlight on himself in a matter of seconds. His WrestleMania attire, entrance, and “easter eggs” during the match would be well worth watching.
