Lucha Bros vs. Proud ‘n’ Powerful

Compared to the rest of these entries, this is a match-up that is more of a rematch than a dream match, but regardless, it is a match that still needs to happen under the AEW banner. Back when Proud ‘n’ Powerful were still L.A.X. 2.0 and The Lucha Bros. were still, uh, The Lucha Bros., both teams were putting on some of the best tag team matches to ever happen in wrestling over the past two years.

Their chemistry as teams were unmatched under the Impact Wrestling banner to the point that they earned their spot as main eventers, most notably main eventing Impact’s Rebellion Pay-Per-View this time last year. Yes, a tag team match actually main evented a PPV event.

In a world where “tag team wrestling doesn’t draw,” that is a huge feat to accomplish and it is a feat that may have never happened if not for the chemistry between these four men being as tremendous as it really is. It’s practically overdue for them to bring that kind of magic to All Elite Wrestling, where the tag team division has been a consistent highlight for the promotion.

Lucha Bros. cemented themselves as arguably the company’s best tag team during summer PPV matches with The Young Bucks and Proud ‘n’ Powerful are coming off the heels of their own acclaimed feud with the Bucks. Them and Lucha Bros. have yet to meet in AEW, but when that day comes, the match is guaranteed to be a classic.
