Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar

Bobby Lashley returned to WWE for one major reason: he wants to face Brock Lesnar.

In his first year back with the company, rumors surfaced that Lesnar and Lashley would go at it for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2018. Those rumors proved to be wayyyyy off, as Roman Reigns finally conquered The Beast to win the Universal Championship (after a little bit of help from old “friend” Braun Strowman).

We’ve yet to see Lashley and Lesnar go at it. Lesnar is the WWE Champion heading into WrestleMania 36, though he could easily lose the strap in the main event of the show against Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre, who eliminated the “lazy part-timer” by Claymoring him straight over the top rope.

Still, it’d be fantastic to see Lashley finally get his crack at Lesnar. Both are supreme athletes who have excelled for YEARS in MMA, amateur wrestling, and pro wrestling. Lashley has taken some lumps in this wild storyline with Lana, Rusev, and Liv Morgan, but it’s all been in the name of getting more attention so that he can work towards this dream match with Lesnar.

Here’s to hoping he gets it. And it certainly has a SummerSlam vibe to it…

Asuka vs. Kairi Sane

I will probably cry if Asuka and Kairi Sane break up. Yes, they are heels, but the Women’s Tag Team Champions are so talented, respected, and have such a pure friendship (Sane’s umbrella work during the Asuka vs. Becky Lynch contract signing comes to mind here) that I can’t help but get emotional about it.

But it’s going to happen. Plus, the emotions it would conjure make it clear that it will be the right move.

When it happens, WWE fans will be treated to a rivalry that could potentially help define a decade. I’m serious: Kairi Sane and Asuka are that good. Simply refer to literally everything they’ve done in their careers thus far, but especially their work as champions in NXT. Asuka was the most dominant babyface champion ever, while Kairi was right up there with Bayley as one of the most likable.

Sane as a babyface and Asuka as a “killer” heel would be sensational. The segments building to the match and the matches themselves would be masterpieces. A few fans fantasy booked Sane shockingly winning the Rumble to face Asuka at WrestleMania (after Asuka upset Becky Lynch), and while that had no real shot at happening, the speculation is an indication of the anticipation for this match.
