AEW Revolution is still three weeks away, yet only one match – Jon Moxley vs. Chris Jericho – has been announced. Let’s fill in the blanks of the card with predictions.

All Elite Wrestling is set to takeover Chicago once again for their first Pay-Per-View of the year: AEW Revolution. I would say that this is a hotly anticipated card, but with the show coming up in three weeks on Feb. 29, there is still not much of a card to speak of.

So far at least, the only match that has officially been announced is Chris Jericho defending his AEW World Championship against Jon Moxley.

In one way, it’d seem as though All Elite Wrestling is cutting it close when it comes to stretching out the card, but nonetheless, they still have three weeks to go and we are expecting to get a handful of new additions to the card before it’s all said and done.

Before all that is said gets said, however, I want to make a few predictions as far as what else could be added to the card judging by recent Dynamite storylines. But first, let’s predict the winner of the card’s only match announced so far:

Chris Jericho (c) vs. Jon Moxley – AEW World Championship

Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley have been feuding with each other ever since the IWGP United States Champion turned down Jericho’s offer to join his Inner Circle. Did I mention that Moxley turned down the offer by slamming a wine bottle in Jericho’s face? Because he totally did.

As the biblical saying goes, “eye for an eye,” Jericho wanted payback in a big way: he pulled out a spike from his jacket and stabbed Moxley in the eye. Which, in some states would be considered aggravated assault and Jericho should be jailed by all accounts. But it’s wrestling, so we allow it.

This didn’t stop a newly eyepatched Mox from claiming a number one contendership for the World Title, guaranteeing him an in-ring confrontation with the champion at the PPV.

It’s also worth mentioning that on the latest Dynamite, Moxley stabbed Santana – one of Jericho’s goons – in the eye with a set of car keys for the sake of having an eye for an eye for an eye. Which, again, acceptable aggravated assault charge.

There’s a chance that Jericho may walk out of the PPV without an eye of his own, but there’s a better chance that he walks out with his title intact.

Winner: Chris Jericho

MJF vs Cody

While the match itself has yet to be officially announced yet, Cody is inching closer and closer towards getting the match that he wants. He already has lived up to his end of the bargain of not putting his hands on MJF before the PPV. And as we saw on the last episode of Dynamite, he has already endured the belt lashings without retaliation.

The only stipulation that Cody needs to live up to now is to beat MJF’s bodyguard, Wardlow, in a Steel Cage Match on next week’s Dynamite. While how he’ll do so remains to be a question answered (maybe he’ll pin/submit the big man, or he could just drop himself out of the cage to escape), it seems all but confirmed that MJF vs. Cody will happen.

There has been far too much investment from fans in this feud for it to not end up happening. Cody vs. MJF has enough fan investment that it has proven to be a main event worthy contest before either of these men have duked it out.

However it goes down, as badly as some fans may want The American Nightmare to get his paws on the pompous New York blowhard, I can’t imagine a scenario where MJF does not get the win.

Now, I’m not an AEW booker so I don’t know exactly what scenario would get a W into MJF’s column, but a win over the exec would make MJF the credible heel that the company’s main event picture needs. This could be a huge breakout moment for MJF if AEW let it happen.

Winner: MJF

Kenny Omega vs. PAC – 2 out of 3 Falls

After much nagging and threatening on behalf of PAC towards the AEW Women’s Champion Riho, Kenny Omega finally granted a rubber match between himself and PAC for next week’s Dynamite in a 30-minute Iron Man Match.

However, because AEW still has a PPV to sell, I think that match will go to a draw – for the sake of practicality, let’s say it ends on a 2-2 tie before those 30 minutes are all said and done – and leave the door open for one final finale at the PPV. And you can’t get much more definitive than a 2 out of 3 Falls Match.

Again, for practicality’s sake, let’s just say that PAC wins with a 2-1 lead.

Winner: PAC

Now I know what you’re thinking, dear reader: “But what about Omega’s Tag Team Championship with Hangman Page?” Well, dear reader, that’s exactly why Omega has a singles match of his own. He’s pulling double duty at the PPV.

Kenny Omega and Hangman Page vs. The Young Bucks

Going into the PPV, Hangman would be badgering Omega, calling him selfish for opting to settle his feud with PAC rather than rest and focus on their title defense competition.

Especially when that competition is arguably the best tag team in the world in The Young Bucks (who I predict to win the number one contenders Battle Royal next week, just because of the animosity that’s been building over the weeks between these four).

For the match itself, I’d say that Page would have to pull a page (no pun intended, I swear) out of the Owen Hart vs. Bret Hart handbook. You know, the part where that feud officially kicked off with Owen kicking Bret’s leg out of his leg after they failed to win the Tag Titles?

In a slight twist of events, Omega still spent from his last match is struggling to carry his load in the match. Even worse, he’s depending too much on fighting spirit (maybe even stubbornness) to tag to his fresh partner. A title change looks inevitable, no matter how much sympathy The Bucks show towards Omega.

That is, until Page cheats to win. Perhaps a ref gets knocked down and Page wallops both Nick and Matt Jackson with chairs, draping Omega’s exhausted, unconscious body over one of them, then waking the ref up to count the pin.

And despite Omega unknowingly getting that pin, and because Hangman is gonna Hangman, Hangman goes on to gloat about how he retained the belts all by himself and that by beating the best tag team in the world by himself, he is the best wrestler in the world. Gloating like this continues to plant seeds of dissension between Omega and Page.

Winners: Omega and Page

Riho (c) vs. Nyla Rose vs. Britt Baker – AEW Women’s Championship

Britt Baker has been venting her frustrations as of late through the lens of a newly heel character. The bulk of her frustrations stem from wanting another one-on-one title shot against champion Riho, but instead rants about how Riho has never been around – due to other wrestling commitments in Japan – to grant her that shot.

Now, Riho finally returns to Dynamite and Nyla Rose gets the title match that Baker has desired for so long? I can’t see that sitting well with the dentist.

Which is why during next week’s Women’s Championship match between Nyla Rose and Riho, I predict Baker to interfere for a DQ ending. Putting her under the impression that only one woman should win that title next – yet alone get a title shot – and in Baker’s mind, it should be herself.

Of course, preventing Nyla Rose from winning the belt also forces The Native Beast to lock the dentist into her sights.

With new animosities afoot, Baker finally gets her title match, but not quite the one she wants. Rather than a one-on-one, she gets a three way with Nyla Rose involved. Speaking of, I’d predict Rose to win. The Beast would focus on the title picture while Baker – blaming Riho for ducking her for so long before she could win the title herself – sets them for a one-on-one feud while Rose keeps herself busy with other challengers.

Winner: Nyla Rose

Joey Janela vs. Kip Sabian – Unsanctioned Street Fight

In a feud that blends reality with fiction, Kip Sabian and his real life girlfriend Penelope Ford – who used to date Joey Janela in real life – have been interlocked in a rivalry with Janela for a couple months now.

It finally came to a head during the last episode of Dynamite where they had their first match, which Sabian won due to some questionable circumstances. Those circumstances are questionable enough to not only open the door for a rematch at the PPV, but one without disqualifications.

I’m tempted to have Sabian win this to put a cap on this feud, but Janela has taken enough big Ls in All Elite Wrestling so far that he needs a win here.

Winner: Joey Janela

Kris Statlander vs. Sadie Gibbs

Random pairing, I know, but bare with me for a second.

More from All Elite Wrestling

On the last episode of AEW Dark, Brandi Rhodes’ Nightmare Collective came to an in-house boiling point when Mel sent Awesome Kong crashing through the barricade. In kayfabe, Kong’s in-ring future looks in jeopardy with an injury while in reality, she’s going away for a bit to film the final season of GLOW.

Of course, Kris Statlander has been feuding with The Nightmare Collective for some time now. It seems too early for Brandi to decide to take Statlander on herself and Mel isn’t imposing or credible enough to make a match between herself and Statlander interesting.

With The Nightmare Collective in need of a new powerhouse, the only powerhouse I’m aware of housed under the company is Sadie Gibbs, who is yet to make a Dynamite debut. Wouldn’t hurt to introduce her by having her join The Nightmare Collective to fend off Statlander.

Of course, in introducing her, Gibbs will have to pick up the win.

Winner: Sadie Gibbs
