WWE Elimination Chamber 2020: 3 Superstars who need a win
The Street Profits
Last Monday, The Street Profits came for the smoke and left with the Raw Tag Team Championships. Without wasting any time, Seth Rollins and Murphy demanded their title rematch to take place this Sunday at WWE Elimination Chamber.
Which is funny, because didn’t WWE end the whole automatic rematch clause spiel? Didn’t they say that onscreen now, wrestlers have to earn their way back to the title? Whatever happened to that?
Anyway, poking at the plot holes of WWE’s inconsistencies aside, The Street Profits need to win this one. For as long as they fought for those titles (this was their fourth title match since coming to Raw, and second in one week against Murphy and Rollins), they would look more like chumps than champs if they lose their titles that fast.
Plus, another victory over Murphy and Rollins opens the door for the Profits to defend their titles at a later date against another pair of The Monday Night Messiah’s disciples: Authors of Pain. Which, really, you could make the argument that AOP should have been the team in this little Messiah group who should have won (or at least challenged for) tag gold first anyway, but we’re not going to make that argument right now.
