Adam Brooks vs. Slex

Both are recent signees to Ring of Honor – Slex having debuted at the promotion’s recent Free Enterprise show in a losing effort to Flip Gordon while this match will serve as Brooks’ first match in ROH – but prior to being signed, the Australian natives were tearing it up all over the continent for years. Specifically in MCW, where their World Title matches have been well revered.

A match against a familiar opponent like Slex is a good way to introduce Brooks to ROH fans. Since it’s his debut, it’s likely he wins. I understand that Slex lost his own debut, but Slex plays a good underdog and can afford a loss as long as he finds a way to get the crowd on his side. Meanwhile, Brooks could go for a better first impression.

Prediction: Brooks wins

Session Moth Martina vs. Nicole Savoy

Session Moth Martina is another new signee – although, judging by the above clip, she may not know that herself – and conveniently, ROH is searching for their next Women of Honor Champion. The tournament will kick off starting Apr. 24 in Philadelphia, but until then, the company is going to showcase their division’s women prior; to build them up as credible, potential champions in time for the tourney.

On Night One, the Moth is set to face Nicole Savoy. Savoy’s not officially signed by Ring of Honor (from my understanding at least) so this is likely to be a one-off, but she is a force to be reckoned with as SHIMMER’s longest reigning World Champion ever. Still, with Martina being an ROH regular, she ought to pick up the win.

Prediction: Moth wins
