AEW Double or Nothing 2020: Early match card predictions
AEW Tag Team Championship Match: The Dark Order [Evil Uno & “The Exalted” Matt Hardy] (c) vs. Triángulo de la Muerte (Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix)
Much like my predicted AEW Television Championship Match, I’m taking several steps to arrive at this possibility, but it’s not all that farfetched. While some believe it could just be trolling, all signs point to a formerly “Broken” and “Woken” Matt Hardy being “The Exalted One” behind The Dark Order.
While The Dark Order has undeniably been heels since arriving in AEW, that will all change the second Matt Hardy is at the helm. There’s zero chance an AEW crowd boos “The Exalted” Matt Hardy as I hope he comes to be called. Before he came back to WWE, Matt Hardy (and Brother Nero) embarked upon an “Expedition of Gold,” capturing tag team gold seemingly all over the universe.
Therefore, it’s only fitting that the master plan upon his arrival would see “The Exalted One” continue the expedition and look to capture the AEW Tag Team Championship. With the inevitable implosion of Kenny Omega and Hangman Page on the horizon (see next match prediction), The Dark Order could capitalize and snatch the titles away from them.
Finally, who would challenge this much-beloved incarnation of The Dark Order? None other than two-thirds of Death Triangle, or Triángulo de la Muerte. The duo once known as Lucha Bros has now joined forces with PAC and could carry this new dangerous reincarnation of their own into AEW Double or Nothing 2020 to try and wrest the gold from The Dark Order. Of course, their hopes will be in vain.
Prediction: The Dark Order deletes Triángulo de la Muerte’s hopes of capturing the titles
