4. Jungle Boy

As much history as Allin has with the Inner Circle, Jungle Boy may have more. Jungle Boy has had five official matches on Dynamite and Dark against Inner Circle members in singles, tags, and trios matches (only Hager has not faced off with Jurassic Express in an official match).

There was also the mutual involvement of Jungle Boy/Luchasaurus and Santana/Ortiz in the #1 contender’s battle royal prior to Revolution.

Jurassic Express have tasted victory as a team and trio in 2020 after a winless 2019, so why not seek to continue that momentum by teaming with someone who has what they eventually want in the AEW World Tag Team Championships?

Jungle Boy is also a tag team specialist, so it makes sense that he could come in and work with Page with little hiccups, maybe even less than Page and his current partner, Omega.

Kayfabe, the presence of Marko Stunt and Luchasaurus could help deter any involvement from the other Inner Circle members.

Much like with Allin, depending on how this hypothetical match ends, Jungle Boy could have a new singles rivalry started with Guevara, or he could he set his sights on Jericho and a rematch from their 10-minute draw last year.

Then again, if they lose, would Page want to wrestle Jungle Boy in singles action, potentially leading to singles matches against Luchasaurus and Stunt, respectively? What about againt Jurassic Express for the Tag Team Championships?

Again, it works not only due to Jungle Boy being a face, but also because of that extensive history with Jericho and the Inner Circle. There’s an argument that Jungle Boy knows the tendencies of the Inner Circle as opponents better than any wrestler in AEW. Page would simply be seeking to utilize that knowledge (like a scouting report).

Having Jungle Boy as Page’s chosen partner could do wonders for the fan perception of Jungle Boy and Jurassic Express as more than just plucky talent with potential (like my 76ers during “The Process”) and more like this year’s New Orleans Pelicans. Think of the “rub” this could bring as being Zion Williamson’s impact since his debut.
