4.) El Hijo del Fantasma Defeats Jack Gallagher
As can be indicated by hyped promo package from last week’s NXT, El Hijo del Fantasma is having his debut match in an NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament against Jack Gallagher. WWE doctrine says that superstars tend to win their debut matches, so a victory for El Hijo Fantasma should be self-explanatory.
3.) Jake Atlas Defeats Drake Maverick
If this was for the 24/7 championship, Drake Maverick would have a very high chance at winning this match. Unfortunately, it’s for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship so Jake Atlas will evidently defeat Maverick, who will very likely give it his all in what could be one of his final matches.
2.) Kushida Defeats Tony Nese
Although Tony Nese is a former Cruiserweight Champion, Kushida is the superstar to keep an eye on for this tournament. He has been maintaining his momentum in the past few weeks on NXT with victories over the likes of Cameron Grimes and Raul Mendoza.
He must continue his momentum in this tournament with hopefully a 3-0 result before advancing to the finals. With the exception of Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, Kushida is the favorite to win this tournament and become the interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion.
