WWE: What’s Next for The Undertaker?
By Mark Justice
5.) Bray Wyatt
In what would be a WrestleMania 31 rematch, The Undertaker would be battling a new Bray Wyatt by getting into the ring with The Fiend this time around. Many thought that the Undertaker should have passed the torch to Wyatt at that Mania since he already lost his streak to Lesnar.
Unfortunately, that was not the case as Wyatt’s downward spiral that was sparked by his WM 30 loss to John Cena continued with a loss to Undertaker on the following Mania. Just like Cena gave back to Wyatt by losing to him in the Firefly Funhouse Match at this year’s WrestleMania, it would be suitable for the veteran Undertaker to do the same for Wyatt at next year’s WrestleMania.
The Fiend always chases after the superstars who wronged him, and The Undertaker would be a huge opponent to target from Wyatt’s past. Only time will tell if the WWE Universe witnesses this rematch before The Undertaker hangs up his boots for good.
4.) Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns
Most WWE fans must have dreamed of a triple threat match amongst The Undertaker and the two superstars who defeated him clean at WrestleMania: Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. If The Undertaker had an opportunity to redeem himself against these two superstars at WrestleMania in a triple threat match, wouldn’t it be a treat?
Not only would it be a treat but it would also be one of the best long-term storylines in the history of WWE. This is a main event caliber match that could be the cherry on top to end The Undertaker’s career on a good note. Instead of ending his career on his back, he will end his career with his arm raised high against the two superstars who somewhat destroyed his aura at Mania.
