WWE Money in the Bank 2020: 3 reasons why Seth Rollins should beat Drew McIntyre
Legitimize His Stable
More than a month ago, Seth Rollins’ stable reigned supreme over Monday nights as the top heel stable on Raw and Rollins himself was the show’s de facto top heel (since the actual top heel was a World Champion who showed up once every six weeks).
Now, that same stable is almost non-existent, especially with Authors of Pain seemingly being M.I.A. indefinitely until Rezar returns from his injury. Meanwhile, Murphy in the past few weeks lost a Money in the Bank qualifying match to Rey Mysterio, then got slaughtered in minutes by the WWE Champion. Guy hasn’t had this much of a string of bad luck since he lost his first name.
And I haven’t even mentioned how they lost their tag titles a couple months back. The guys in the top heel stable aren’t looking like top guys anymore (word to The Revolt, stop stealing names, you guys).
Raw needs top baddies at the top of the totem pole, and the best way to bring Rollins and his disciples back to prominence is by dubbing its leader as the WWE Champion. The win comes at the expense of McIntyre’s reign length, but with a compelling villain, there’s a better story in watching our hero chase the belt back.
