WWE Money in the Bank 2023 is approximately one week away, and WWE has already built a plethora of blockbuster feuds for this “premium live event.” This event is also reportedly taking place in the UK, which means there will be strong support for UK WWE superstars, such as Drew McIntyre, Becky Lynch, Finn Balor, and much more. The following will provide some rapid-fire match card predictions for what should be an eminently exhilarating event: WWE MITB 2023.
WWE Money in the Bank 2023 is scheduled to take place on July 1, 2023, live on Peacock. Here are full match card predictions for WWE MITB 2023.
Logan Paul vs. Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Damian Priest vs. LA Knight vs. Santos Escobar vs. Butch [Men’s MITB Ladder Match]
Logan Paul will win this year’s MITB Ladder Match because WWE would not put him in the MITB Ladder Match at the last minute if he was not going to win it. The fans want LA Knight, but that was never going to happen. Unlike the current mid-card participants in the MITB Ladder Match, Logan has gone toe to toe in show-stealing singles matches with main eventers like Roman Reigns, Miz, and Seth Rollins. Although he is not a full-time superstar, Logan has proven that he can hang in the big leagues and would fit in the main event scene as Mr. MITB like a glove.
From a storyline perspective, he can avenge his Mania loss to Rollins by cashing in on him after Rollins retains at MITB and setting up a rematch for SummerSlam. After he signed his new contract with WWE, he said that he wants to win a championship in 2023. That will come true.
Prediction: Logan Paul
Becky Lynch vs. Zoey Stark vs. Trish Stratus vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. Zelina Vega vs. Bayley /Shotzi vs. Iyo Sky [Women’s MITB Ladder Match]
Becky Lynch will win this year’s MITB Ladder Match because it is her first UK PPV in her hometown and she has the credibility to make that briefcase prestigious after its incessant same-night cash-ins since Carmella held it for 200+ days. The fans want Iyo Sky, as she has proven since her NXT days that she belongs in the main event scene, and she continues to prove it on the main roster as she aims to break away from her Damage Control alliance with Bayley. However, Bayley will screw Iyo at MITB, especially after Iyo put Bayley’s MITB spot on the line against Shotzi.
Also, it is rumored that the women’s MITB winner will fail her cash in this year. It would hurt Iyo Sky if she was the first woman to fail her cash-in. The MITB Briefcase should go into the hands of an established talent like Becky who would not be hurt by a failed cash-in to Ripley at Mania.
Prediction: Becky Lynch

Gunther (c) vs. Matt Riddle [Intercontinental Championship]
Gunther will retain his title against Matt Riddle because he is on the verge of surpassing the Honky Tonk Man’s IC Title record. As long as he holds the title until September, he will accomplish that milestone, and WWE loves milestones. Gunther has been an impeccable IC Champion and it would be well-deserved for him to accomplish that feat. There is no compelling reason to end his title reign before September, unless Vince McMahon is still hellbent on burying Gunther, as was rumored in 2022. Unfortunately for Riddle, he is just a stepping stone for Gunther right now.
Hopefully, Randy Orton returns for SummerSlam to finally feud with Riddle and put an end to that story whilst Big E returns to challenge Gunther and wrap up that New Day-Imperium story as well.
Prediction: Gunther
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Natalya [World Heavyweight Championship]
Rhea Ripley will retain her title against Natalya because she has been going on a tear as a dominant heel champion since dethroning Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39. She already squashed Natalya and already teased future feuds with Raquel Rodriguez and Becky Lynch. It is likely that Raquel will be her SummerSlam opponent and Becky Lynch will be her WrestleMania opponent since they are the most credible opponents Ripley could battle to solidify her title reign. Ripley is the top heel in this division and there is no reason to end her title reign this soon.
As a side note, it is slightly frustrating that UK superstars like Tegan Nox from Wales and Piper Niven from Scotland were neither considered for this title match nor utilized on Raw at all.
Prediction: Rhea Ripley
Seth Rollins (c) vs. Finn Balor [World Heavyweight Championship]
Seth Rollins will retain his title against Finn Balor since he only recently won the title at the last PPV. Finn Balor is from Ireland and WWE wanted to capitalize on the home-court advantage he would have in this bout. Rollins and Balor were actually the Raw finalists for this brand-new World Heavyweight Championship, so Balor has the momentum, buildup, and credibility for this title opportunity. He also has a lot of history with Rollins, especially tracking back to their universal title match at SummerSlam 2016. When Balor battled Seth for the universal title, Balor won.
Now, with the babyface and heel roles reversed, Seth Rollins will flip the switch and retain the title on his first PPV title defense.
Prediction: Seth Rollins

Cody Rhodes vs. Dominick Mysterio [Grudge Match]
Cody Rhodes will defeat Dominick Mysterio in this non-sensical second-generation superstar warfare. Cody Rhodes should have been in the MITB Ladder Match in his pursuit to get back to his title rematch against Roman Reigns. Instead, he is in a filler feud before having his third and final match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. That match has been rumored to be a bull rope match, which is presumably similar to the chain match between Rusev and John Cena at Extreme Rules 2015 and/or the strap match between CM Punk and Umaga at Extreme Rules 2009.
Cody will beat Dominick and likely lose to Lesnar at SummerSlam since Lesnar is rumored to be a top heel to battle Rollins for his title in the near future. This journey back to Roman will likely be an endless struggle for Cody, as all the hype is gone for him to “finish the story.”
Prediction: Cody Rhodes
Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa vs. Usos [Bloodline Tag Team Match]
Now that Jimmy Uso has proven himself to be the real tribal chief by finally parting ways with Roman Reigns, he finally got his brother on the same page. The Usos need to win here to solidify their face turn, prove why they should not be overlooked by Reigns, and show why they are the best tag team in the world. This victory should also elicit dissension between Reigns and Sikoa. There was already prior tension between the two after Reigns accidentally bumped into Sikoa. Sikoa can fully turn on Reigns here and stick with Usos, whom he won with at BackLash.
On the other hand, Solo could even go on his own warpath and actually live up to his name of going solo. What a concept. Nonetheless, Sikoa is always the one getting pinned when he is teaming with Reigns, so he will get frustrated enough to part ways with Reigns at that point.
Prediction: Usos
