WWE Smackdown (4/18) Results: The Game Is Announced

Welcome to WWE Smackdown, Triple H comes down to the ring to kick things off. He says that part of his job is to find the greatest talent around the world and watching him succeed. He says that the Shield is the group of talented he has ever seen in many years. He gave them power, maybe he gave him too much power. When you have power, you try to find out how far your power can take you. However, when you find that line that you do not have enough power to get across and the Shield crossed the line. They paid for crossing that line. A video package is shown on how we got to this point with him and the Shield. Triple H says that they can move past all this, all they had to do is beg his forgiveness. Instead, they have been silent and then Roman Reigns said that Kings do not win wars, soldiers do. He says that is not reality, the soldiers are the currency on empires that are bought and sold. He says that their value is gone, at Extreme Rules the Shield will step into the ring with Evolution. They return at Extreme Rules to show what real destruction and power really is.
-Commercial Break-
Big E Vs. Alberto Del Rio
They lock up, Del Rio with a kick to the leg of the champion. Big E hits a shoulder block on Del Rio for a near fall. Big E with a power slam, but Del Rio fights out. Del Rio with a kick to the side of the head of Big E for a near fall. Del Rio locks in a headlock; Big E fights out with right hands. Big E runs into a big boot by Del Rio. ADR misses a spear and Big E hits a power slam. Big E goes for a splash, but Del Rio puts his knees up to block it. Big E rolls to the floor and we go to break.
-Commercial Break-
Were back, Big E misses a spear and goes shoulder first into the ring post. Del Rio with a big DDT for a near fall. Del Rio goes on the top rope and flies off, Big E catches him and hits a big back breaker. Big E hits a big splash and then pulls down the straps. Big E goes for the Big Ending, but Del Rio blocks. Del Rio with the back stabber for a near fall. Del Rio calls for the arm bar and goes for it. Big E locks it in, but Big E picks him up, that does not work. Big E grabs the ropes to break the hold. The referee says that ADR did not break the hold and calls for the DQ.
Winner: Big E in 10 minutes.
After the match ADR attacks the champion and goes for the super kick, but blocked and Big E hits the Big Ending.
Paul Heyman is in the ring, he says that he represents the next up and coming star in WWE (Cesaro) Also, he represents the guy who beat the streak… BROCK LESNAR! He repeats himself by saying that his client conquered the streak! This gets mega heat for it. He thanks the fans for letting him get that off his chest to all of them. He says a bit out of character; he says from the bottom of his heart, his client Brock Lesnar conquered the streak. Just so you know, Brock Lesnar broke the streak.

Paige Vs. Aksana
Aksana jumps Paige right off the bat. Paige fights back with elbows to the face of Aksana. She knees her in the face repeatedly. Aksana clotheslines Paige on the outside and sends her back into the ring. Aksana with a power slam and then sends her face first into the mat. Aksana and Paige go for a cross body at the same time and collide. Aksana with a slap and Paige with one of her own. Paige with a series of clotheslines and then a dropkick by the champion. Paige wins the match with the scorpion cross lock.
Winner: Paige
Sheamus does a backstage interview with Renee Young. He is shown a clip from three weeks ago of Batista attacking him with a steel chair and nailing him with a Batista bomb on Smackdown. Sheamus says that Batista took the easy way out, he explains it’s not who hits the hardest; it’s who can take a punch. He says that last time Batista got his shots in, this time he will. Its time to fight!
-Commercial Break-
El Torito Vs. Hornswoggle
Hornswoggle hits a splash, but Torrito reversed into a roll up for a near fall. Hornswoggle with a huge clothesline. Hornswoggle with a splash for a near fall. Hornswoggle locks in a headlock, Torrito fights out with right hands. Hornswoggle goes for a suplex and hits it. Little people are cool! Hornswoggle taunts Los Matadores and Torrito rolls him up for a near fall. Hornswoggle throws Torrito into the corner, but misses the splash. Torrito with the gore then a bronco buster. Torrito hits a moonsult for the win.
Winner: El Torrito in 4:19.

Alexander Rusev Vs. R-Truth
Truth with right hands, and the kicks the chest. He nails a dropkick for a near fall. Rusev with a super kick to the face of Truth. Rusev a series of knees to the chest of Truth and follows it up with a fall away slam. Truth fights back with right hands, but Rusev hits a big power slam followed by the camel clutch for the win.
Winner: Rusev in 1:40.
Xavier Woods tries to attack Rusev, but of course that does not work. Rusev with a splash in the corner and lays him out.

Santino Marella Vs. Fandango
Fandango with a stiff right hand, he kicks Santino in the face for a near fall. Fandango with a suplex followed by a missed leg drop. Santino with an arm toss followed by a head butt. Emma and Layla brawl on the floor. Santino rolls Fandango up for the win.
Winner: Santino at 1:29.

Batista Vs. Sheamus
They start brawling right off the bat. Sheamus with a clothesline on the Animal, he lands a series of knee drops on Batista. Sheamus sends Batista in the corner and lands a shoulder block. Batista fires back with a clothesline, Sheamus cuts him off with a clothesline of his own for a near fall. Sheamus with a snap mare, and locks in a shoulder submission. Sheamus starts clubbing Batista’s chest and then sends him to the floor.
-Commercial Break-
Sheamus is in control when we come back from break, Batista sends Sheamus into the steel steps and then the barricade. Back in the ring we go, Sheamus fires back with right hands. Batista cuts him off as he trips him that sends him head first into the turnbuckle. Batista sends Sheamus shoulder first into the ring post. Batista goes for the Batista bomb, but Sheamus blocks and sends him to the floor. Batista gets back into the ring and sends Sheamus into corner. Batista sends Batista shoulder first into the ring post. Sheamus shoots off the ropes with a series of clotheslines. Sheamus runs into a big boot by Batista. Sheamus shoots off the ropes and hits a big running knee to the face of Batista. Sheamus with clubbing right hands to the chest of Batista. He hits a springboard shoulder block for a near fall. Sheamus goes for White Noise, but blocked. He instead hit a backbreaker for a near fall. Sheamus goes for a submission lock, but Batista grabs the ropes. Sheamus runs into an elbow by Batista. Sheamus hits a suplex Anyways, he misses the Brogue kick. Batista slides out to the floor and back into the ring. He goes for it again, but misses and Batista nails the spear for a near fall. Batista goes for the powerbomb, but blocked. Sheamus goes to the top rope; Batista cuts him off and sends him off the top rope. Batista hits the Batista bomb for the win.
Winner: Batista at 13:44
