Raw Review: John Cena vs. Luke Harper
By Mike Smith
The Shield backstage
The Shield again talked about Evolution, specifically Triple H, and their apparent need to hide behind their lackeys. Rollins admitted to making a few mistakes in his last match with Batista a few weeks ago, but said that won’t happen tonight. I think that’s what they said, I was heavily distracted by Roman Reigns’ eye.
Alberto Del Rio pre-taped promo/Alberto Del Rio vs. Rob Van Dam in a Beat The Clock Challenge to determine the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Championship
WWE.com
Del Rio said he deserves to be champion, and he’s going to do this for children, because they need a hero. He then said that the future of the planet depends on him.
RVD rolled Del Rio up, 47 seconds before Big E’s time. De Rio now stands to be the #1 contender, barring his time getting beat by Dolph Ziggler or Mark Henry. Del Rio just seems completely despondent and uninterested.
John Cena and The Usos w/ Renee Young
Renee asked Cena if he is using the same plan tonight that he used when he faced Erick Rowan on SmackDown. Cena introduced The Usos, who would be a ringside with him. Cena and The Usos then hummed a song and beat their chests in rhythm with each other. It was pretty funny, and for some reason this trio works.
