Raw Review: The Shield and Evolution Contract Signing

The Authority came out and Stephanie said that tonight is all about decisions. She talked about Daniel Bryan’s decision about what to do with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, she then said that Bryan would make the “right” decision. Triple H then said that The Shield had a decision to make, whether to sign the contract for their match with Evolution, or not sign it and get out of Evolution’s way.
Stephanie then brought out Maddox. They said that Maddox was the reason that Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns were at ringside for the Seth Rollins-Batista match last week. Maddox defended his decision, saying he was roughed up by The Shield until he allowed them to be guest commentators. Stephanie seemed ready to fire Maddox, but Kane’s music hit. Triple H punched Maddox as he went to run, and Stephanie told Kane to “teach him a lesson”. Kane hit a chokeslam and Tombstone Piledriver, then Stephanie fired Maddox. This was a really good segment, and reminded me of the peak of The Authority, back at the end of 2013 when they opened every episode of Raw.
