2-time NWA World Champion Dan Severn turns 56 today.

Former WWE Star Tatanka turns 53 today.

Today would have also marked the birthday of 3-time NWA World Champion Wild Bill Longson. He died in 1982.

1988: NWA Clash of Champions II: Miami Mayhem was held at the James L. Knight Center, in Miami, Florida. 2,400 were in attendance to see Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard fought Sting & Dusty Rhodes to a double DQ in the main event.

1997: WWF King of the Ring was held at the Providence Civic Center, in Providence, Rhode Island. 9,312 were in attendance to see The Undertaker defeated Faarooq to retain the WWF Title. Also, Triple H wins the King of the Ring Tournament, when he defeated Mankind in the final.

1999: Ivory defeated Debra to win the WWF Women’s Title

2008: WWE began airing Vintage Classics, which was hosted by Gene Okerlund.

2008: TNA Slammiversary was held at the DeSoto Civic Center, in Southaven, Mississippi. 2,000 were in attendance to see Samoa Joe defeated Robert Roode, Booker T, Rhino, & Christian Cage in a King of the Mountain Match with Kevin Nash as special guest ringside enforcer to retain the TNA World Title.
