Number 3. John Cena and Brock Lesnar come to blows

After weeks of John Cena and Paul Heyman having verbal battles, we finally got to see WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar live on Raw this past week. At the beginning of the show, Cena told Heyman that if Lesnar doesn’t appear by halftime (of the Colts/Eagles game that is) he would fight Heyman. Sure enough, at halftime, Cena dragged Heyman to the ring and demanded Lesnar.

Then the pain came. Seeing the actual champion appearing on Raw was a refreshing sight to see, and while Lesnar’s pre-recorded promos are great, nothing beats seeing him live. The two didn’t waste time getting into each other, as Lesnar delivered a suplex, knocking Cena out of the ring. Cena would then fire back at Lesnar, as security had to come out and separate the two.

This brawl did its job. It promoted the title match, proved Lesnar is still capable of delivering damage to Cena from one suplex and it showed Cena’s heart and relicense. Cena looks ready for Night of Champions and we definitely won’t be seeing the same dominating performance we saw from Lesnar at SummerSlam. While the time slot of this segment was questionable, the effectiveness of it was not.
