John Cena vs. Randy Orton

This match was set up by Triple H earlier in the night after Cena and Ambrose ambushed Rollins in the opening of the show. The latter also claimed to have a “surprise” in store for tonight.

This was a decent contest for a match-up that we have seen numerous times before. These two work well and can put on a good performance when needed.

When Cena looked to be taking advantage with the STF, Kane and Rollins, who were at ringside, would interfere and cause the referee to end the match.

After a methodical beat down, the three would prepare to put Cena through the cinder blocks. However, Ambrose would pop out of the box that was supposedly holding the blocks and attack everyone.

This would lead to a quick fight that caused Rollins to run away, confirming once again what Triple H said earlier tonight about him running away and causing trouble for the Authority. I wonder how this gets addressed next week.

Match ends with a disqualification.

3.4 out of 5 stars – This rating is combined for the match and the aftermath. Decent segment to end the night.
