5) Ryback

After being out for about six weeks due to hernia surgery, Ryback came back on the October 27 edition of Monday Night Raw to his old, babyface music of “Meat on the Table.” He answered the open challenge that Bo Dallas had put out just moments earlier.

It was great seeing the Big Guy back to the role that suited him best. His “Feed Me More” chants are still incredibly over with the crowds when he sets up for the Meat-hook Clothesline.

So why is he so high on this list?

Since Ryback returned, he has been built back up to an upper-level babyface. He was at the center of Monday Night Raw earlier this week, as both Team Cena and Team Authority wanted his services. He initially told John Cena that he didn’t want to be part of his team. However, later in the night, he began to clash with members of Team Authority and would end up brawling with most of their members. By the end of the night, it would seem to show that Ryback was going to be on Team Cena for Survivor Series.

Ryback’s character turn last month was also one of the more cleaner ones of the year. An argument could be made for Gold and Stardust to be at number five because they eventually won the WWE Tag Team Championship from The Usos, but their heel turn was very strange. They would seem to be slowly reverting back to being good guys, then suddenly attack Jimmy and Jey. It took away from their turn a bit and made you roll your eyes at times at the booking strategy that WWE Creative was using.

The Big Guy’s character turn wasn’t expected, but it didn’t have a lot of drama behind it. The next one on our list certainly did.
