Dolph Ziggler vs. Rusev in a Champion vs. Champion Match
Rusev started off in control of this match, but Ziggler was able to hit some big moves and reset the match. However, Rusev took over at the beginning of that too.
Finally, after many attempts, Ziggler finally started to get some offense going on Rusev, starting with a missile dropkick.
Ziggler had Rusev in trouble, and he looked for a Zig Zag, but Rusev saved himself by holding onto the ropes. Rusev got back on offense and had Ziggler down in the corner, delivering kicks to Ziggler’s stomach until the referee called for the bell.
Ziggler defeats Rusev via DQ.
After the match, Rusev locked Ziggler in The Accolade, with a little help from the bottom rope. The referees finally got Rusev to break the hold, when Ryback came down to the ring.
Ryback was able to make Rusev retreat and he stood tall in the ring.
3.25 out of 5 stars – Ziggler is red-hot right now. Everything he does feels important. It’s very similar to where Daniel Bryan was a year ago.
