The Miz, Damien Mizdow and Naomi backstage

Miz and Mizdow were preparing for their WWE Tag Team Championship defense against The Usos, when Naomi ran up and gave Miz a big hug. She asked if they could speak alone, which provided a perfect comedy spot for Mizdow, which he, of course, knocked out of the park.

Naomi told Miz that she had a conversation with the producer, and that they scheduled a meeting to discuss more projects. Miz seemed thoroughly confused the whole time, but played it cool.

Naomi apologized that nobody believed him, and that her husband treated him so poorly. She wished him luck in his title match and walked away.

It appears as though Naomi has tried to turn the tables on Miz, which could mean new WWE Tag Team Champions.

The Miz and Damien Mizdow vs. The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Championship

Jimmy Uso started the match with Miz, as Miz continued to cower away from Jimmy, like he has for most of this angle. It wasn’t until Jimmy got distracted that Miz decided to be aggressive.

The two men traded control, until Jimmy got Miz in his corner, and him and Jey dominated Miz. Jey continued his offense on Miz, until Mizdow’s shenanigans became a distraction, which Miz took full advantage of.

Miz went on offense, as he refused to tag Mizdow into the match, constantly teasing a tag, but refusing to actually do it.

Jey got the hot tag to Jimmy, who was suddenly in complete control of Miz. Jimmy hit a dive to the outside, but got greedy by going to the top, and Miz countered that, as he started to hit some of his signature moves, like the kneeling DDT.

After Jimmy got to the bottom rope while locked in the Figure-Four, he went for a submission of his own, but Mizdow broke it up, and seemed prime to save the day once again, but he took a superkick from Jimmy, who gave another to Miz, before tagging out to Jey. Jey went for a top-rope splash, but Miz got the knees up and hit a Skull Crushing Finale, but Jey kicked out.

Miz and Jey, both exhausted, fought, with Miz eventually going for another Skull Crushing Finale, but Jey was able to reach out and tag Jimmy. Jimmy threw a superkick there way, which Jey moved for, leaving Miz with no way to protect himself from Jimmy’s boot. Both Usos then connected with a superkick at the same time on Miz, as Jimmy hit a top-rope splash for the win.

The Usos defeat Miz and Mizdow via pinfall.

3.5 out of 5 stars – They were given a lot of time and they did a lot with it. Really fun match.

The Usos w/ Jerry Lawler

After the match, King climbed in the ring to speak with The Usos. He asked about Jimmy and Naomi being on the same page, and Jimmy said that they are always on the same page, and that, in the end, they played Miz.

This promo served to offer proof that Naomi was playing Miz when she went to thank him for helping with the producer, as expected.
