Legends Panel w/ Byron Saxton

Byron started by asking the Legends what they think about John Cena putting his WWE World Heavyweight Championship shot on the line for a chance at getting Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan their jobs back. Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan said “yes”, but Ric Flair said “no”.

They then turned their attention to the Royal Rumble, and Flair said winning the 1992 Rumble was one of the best moments of his careers.

Michaels agreed, stating that he might not be “Mr. WrestleMania”, if not for his back-to-back wins in the 1995 and 1996 Rumbles.

Hogan said that the Rumble is special, because you never know what to expect, and what might happen next.

Then they got to their picks, and Michaels chose the “whacked out” Bray Wyatt. Hogan went with Daniel Bryan. Flair decided to go with Dean Ambrose. When Big Show interrupted.

Show came out and mocked the Legends in the ring. Hogan tried to stand up to Show, but Show told him to pipe down.

Show said that all three Legends have always been jealous of him. He said that Flair’s Figure-Four was basically useless against him. He noted that when he went to the top, Michaels faded out, because Michaels knew that Show would eat him alive.

Show said he’s embarrassed for the Legends, then went on to say that nobody could throw him over the top rope, and that he’s going to win the Rumble.

Flair then stood up for himself and the Legends, but he got KO’d, and Roman Reigns made his way down the steps.

Show told Reigns to stay back, but Reigns stepped up and punched him in the mouth. The two men brawled, and Reigns knocked Show over the top all by himself.

Reigns then walked out with the Legends.

The Legends Panel was fun, specifically Michaels, as expected. Show was awful, as expected. Reigns got a pretty big pop for his involvement, which is hit or miss. However, Reigns did show up late to save Flair from getting KO’d, which is very expected for a WWE babyface.

John Cena w/ Renee Young

Renee revealed that 85% of the WWE Universe said that Cena should risk his title shot to get Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan’s jobs back.

She asked him if he perceived this as the Universe turning their backs on him. He said that some might have, but that it could also be perceived as the Universe having confidence in him to get those three men their jobs back, and still go on to the Triple Threat title match on Sunday.

Good promo from Cena. He didn’t overdo it on the odds being stacked against him. He said that he would do anything to get their jobs back, and now he’s doing it.
