The Lucha Dragons vs. Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy for the NXT Tag Team Championship
Sin Cara started the match against Blake, who withstood some high-flying offense, and got Sin Cara in their corner, putting him and Murphy in control.
After really taking a beating, Sin Cara got the hot tag to Kalisto, who got the offense going before the match broke down.
Sin Cara got Blake to ringside, but as he was about to take him out, Blake countered and took Sin Cara out of the match. Blake then hopped up on the apron and got a blind tag.
An unknowing Kalisto hit Salida del Sol on Murphy, but Blake climbed in the ring and immediate rolled Kalisto up in a deep cover for the win.
Blake and Murphy defeat The Lucha Dragons via pinfall.
3 out of 5 stars – This was probably a bit below a three star match, but the finish was excellent.
Bayley and Charlotte backstage
Charlotte said that if Bayley does what she did last week, she will destroy her.
Bayley apologized, then she took it back and said she needs to cut back on being so nice, referencing the recent turn in Sami Zayn’s career.
Charlotte said that Bayley better watch herself, because if she crosses the line again, she will not even make it to the Fatal 4-Way Match.
This was a good promo from these girls, and I really think Bayley could pull off the serious turn that Zayn did, I just worry that they’re rehashing the storyline too quick.
Tyler Breeze cell phone video
Breeze said he isn’t worried about losing in the #1 Contender’s Tournament, and that he’s going to be watching the rest of this tournament very closely.
When the video ended, the announcers noted that Breeze and Itami seem to have unfinished business.
I would not mind seeing more of Breeze vs. Itami, that’s for sure.
