WWE may have another CM Punk situation on their hands, though, this time it is with Brock Lesnar. The same Lesnar that is slotted for the Wrestlemania 31 main event.

Stop me if you heard this before: Top WWE superstar leaves WWE Monday Night Raw early and goes home after having a business dispute with the company.

Oh that is right, that is what happened last year between WWE and CM Punk. Punk would wind up never returning to WWE and now is in the middle of an on-going legal battle with the company.

Is Lesnar destined for the same fate?

Lesnar was supposed to be on WWE Monday Night Raw on Monday but reportedly left after having a business dispute with the company. Lesnar flew back to his home in Minnesota and is not expected to be back on WWE programming until March 8.

That would give WWE and Lesnar two weeks to settle whatever their current dispute is.

What is clear is that Lesnar’s contract with WWE expires the day after Wrestlemania 31. There has been increased optimism that Lesnar would be remaining with WWE, though that could be a ploy for Lesnar to squeeze out more money from a company such as UFC.

With the business relationship between Lesnar and WWE on the rocks and not much time to spare, Wrestlemania likely will be Lesnar’s last event with the company.

Meaning Lesnar will drop the title to Roman Reigns but don’t expect Reigns to hold the WWE World Heavyweight title for long.
