The Brian Kendrick vs. Finn Balor
Balor had control early, until it looked like Kendrick tweaked his ankle. Balor gave Kendrick some breathing space, but Kendrick took the opportunity to roll Balor up, but Balor kicked out.
After that, the match constantly went back-and-forth, with each guy taking turns hitting series of moves.
Balor was able to get the last shot in. He hit a sling blade, followed by a dropkick into the corner, leaving Kendrick laid out for a Coup de Grace.
Balor defeats Kendrick via pinfall.
3.75 out of 5 stars – This match was pretty toned down, compared to what it could’ve been. I think we’ll see these guys somewhere down the line.
After the match, Kevin Owens, who was on commentary, before leaving and going backstage, came back out on to the stage. Owens had a staredown with Balor, then he walked over, grabbed Alex Riley, and threw him over the announce table.
Owens went to the back after having a dispute on commentary with Riley.
The Owens-Riley stuff was actually pretty good. I’m excited to see how it plays out.
