Daniel Bryan vs. Bad News Barrett

Barrett came out firing, but Bryan’s wrestling skills helped him get rolling.

Both men traded shots as the match continued, eventually Barrett established control, as he threw Bryan to ringside and grabbed his title for a mid-match celebration.

Bryan was able to ignite his comeback, but lost his momentum when Barrett got out of the way of a running dropkick in the corner. However, Barrett was distracted by his title belt being knocked to the floor, allowing Bryan to keep his momentum with a suicide dive.

As the match continued, R-Truth got up from the commentary table and grabbed the title belt.

Barrett set Bryan up for a Bullhammer, but Bryan ran right at him with a running knee.

Bryan defeats Barrett via pinfall.

3.25 out of 5 stars – This was a fun match. I’m usually against title holders losing non-title matches, but they did a similar thing with Randy Orton heading into WWE Elimination Chamber last year, and it worked. This could be a agood way to build to WrestleMania’s newest match.

After the match, Barrett looked for his title, but Truth did a good job of hiding it.

Roman Reigns w/ Byron Saxton

Reigns said it felt good to beat Daniel Bryan at Fastlane, especially since Bryan knows what it takes to get to where Reigns wants to go.

Reigns said that he hates the word “can’t.” He said he doesn’t want to be told he can’t do something, but it just makes him want it more.

Reigns said he’s going to get all the advice he can, and he’s going to train the hardest he’s ever trained. He said he’s not cocky, but he hopes Brock Lesnar is, and he’s going to do everything he can to beat Lesnar at WrestleMania.

This was awful. Reigns showed some improvement during the feud with Bryan, but it appears that’s over.

R-Truth and Dean Ambrose backstage

Truth was strutting around with the Intercontinental Championship belt, when he ran into Ambrose.

Ambrose asked Truth if he was the new champion. Truth replied that he was, and talked about the match he had with Barrett. Ambrose noted that he missed that match.

Ambrose said he’s going to want that belt back, so Truth gave it to him.

This was very funny. The insanity from these two seems to gel together nicely.
