The Demon of Death Valley is WrestleMania personified.

Entering 2007, The Undertaker had been stopped by Mr. Kennedy on two different occasions for a World Heavyweight Championship match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

However, nothing would stop The Deadman from doing something he had never done before: Win the Royal Rumble Match. The Undertaker last eliminated Shawn Michaels to win his first Rumble and then chose to go after Batista’s World Heavyweight title.

The build was tremendous, as Batista turned on The Undertaker at the No Way Out pay-per-view in their tag team match against Raw’s main event of John Cena and Shawn Michaels.

When the two finally met in Detroit at WrestleMania 23, their match was sensational, as Batista came extremely close to ending the 14-0 WrestleMania win streak of The Phenom.

But, as The Lord of Darkness once said, “You can’t kill what’s already dead.”
