Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett, Luke Harper and Stardust
Bryan was the only person to get a televised entrance.
Ambrose completely dominated Barrett at the start, before tagging out to Ziggler. Barrett was able to get control long enough to tag out to Stardust, but things didn’t go too well for Stardust, as Ziggler hit him with a little offense before tagging out to Bryan.
There was a pretty funny moment in this match, as Bryan put Stardust in the surfboard hold near the corner, and Ambrose climbed on the ropes and got as close as he could to Stardust, calling him “Cody.”
Barrett tagged back into the match, and had a fun, quick back-and-forth with Bryan, before tagging back out to Stardust, who had more bad luck against Bryan. Bryan went for an early running knee, but Stardust rolled out of the ring, as SmackDown went to commercial.
When SmackDown returned, Harper was finally in the match, and he was in control of Bryan, as he had him in a lengthy headlock.
Harper tagged out to Barrett, as the two of them stomped Bryan, before Barrett sent Bryan into the corner, set him up across the top rope, and hit Bryan with a big kick to the mid-section.
The heels were in total control, taking turns on Bryan, until Bryan countered Harper, and hit him with a round kick to the head, before making the hot tag to Ambrose.
Ambrose had a really fun sequence with Stardust, taking him out with a massive facebuster, then taking him and Harper out with a diving elbow from the top rope to the floor.
Ambrose went for Dirty Deeds on Stardust, but Barrett caused a distraction, lured Ambrose to the outside, and Harper hit Ambrose with a big boot, as SmackDown went for another commercial.
When SmackDown returned Barrett was in control of Ambrose. Barrett had Ambrose tied up in the ropes, and was going to work on him.
Ambrose had a few flurries of offense, as he tried to get back into the match, but the heels were able to keep him down.
Stardust went to the top, looking for a superplex on Ambrose, but Ambrose countered by dropping Stardust on his face, then hit a missile dropkick, before making the hot tag to Ziggler.
Ziggler got things going, as he had a really fun sequence with Harper.
The match broke down, as all three faces went for a triple suicide dive onto their opponents. Ziggler was in the middle and got destroyed by a big boot from Harper, but Bryan and Ambrose were successful in their attempts.
Ziggler hit a Zig Zag, but slumped down in the corner, as Bryan tagged in and hit a running knee for the win.
Bryan, Ziggler and Ambrose defeat Harper, Barrett and Stardust via pinfall.
3.5 out of 5 stars – I’ve said that it’s tough to have a bad six-man tag match, and I stand by that. Plus, when you make a six-man tag with six of the best wrestlers in the company, you’re just asking for it to be really good, and that’s what this was.
Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose in-ring w/ Michael Cole
Cole congratulated Bryan on the win. Bryan thanked him, but before he could go any further, Ziggler came in and accused Bryan of stealing the win from him.
Ziggler said he gets it, because everybody is trying to stand out during WrestleMania season.
Ambrose accused Ziggler of having an inferiority complex. Ambrose said that a lot of people think that Bryan is a great guy, but that the locker room knows the truth, and that’s that Bryan is a “turd.” Ziggler then agreed with him.
This was a Vince promo all the way. You can tell by the terrible humor, and the fact that two really good promo guys had trouble even delivering it.
