Tyler Breeze vs. Hideo Itami in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match
Neither man could gain an advantage as the first fall got started, as neither man could advance past a lockup.
Breeze was the first person to get some offense in, as he drove Breeze into the corner and used his shoulder by driving it multiple times into Itami’s midsection. However, Itami quickly turned things around and dominated his way up to a Shotgun Kick for the first fall.

Breeze really struggled to get to his feet, and the referee had to hold Itami back. Breeze did a good job of selling it, because while the referee was still holding Itami back, Breeze hit a Beauty Shot.
Breeze pins Itami to take the second fall.
After the second fall, NXT went to commercial. When they returned, Breeze was going to work on Itami, capitalizing on Itami still being down from the Beauty Shot.
Breeze looked strong against Itami, until Itami evaded a dropkick and started rolling.
Itami pulled off some big moves as he attempted to put Breeze away, but Breeze still kept himself in it.
Once Breeze countered a fisherman’s suplex with a small package, things really got going, as both men kept going for big pin attempts to try and put the other away quickly. Breeze kicked out of one of these attempts and hit a Supermodel Kick, but Itami kicked out.
Breeze tried to follow up on this, but Itami got really fired up and started throwing kicks. Itami went for a dropkick in the corner, but Breeze rolled out of the way and went for a Beauty Shot, but Itami ducked under. Itami sent Breeze back in the corner, this time connecting on the dropkick. Itami followed by sending Breeze into the ropes, but Breeze came off the ropes and countered with a Beauty Shot.
Breeze defeats Itami via pinfall. Breeze wins 2-1.
4 out of 5 stars – Great match. For my money, the story they told over the course of the three falls was perfect.
