Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose

Result: Dean Ambrose defeats Seth Rollins via pinfall to earn a spot in the WWE Payback main event.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Before the match started, Kane walked out.

He said if Dean Ambrose defeats Rollins, he will be added to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match at Payback. This leads to Rollins flipping out and makes this match mean a whole lot.

Ambrose nearly gets a roll up pin on Rollins seconds into the match. He would continue taking over outside the ring and back in it. The two would begin to trade hits back and forth with the WWE WHC eventually getting the advantage. Rollins was sent out of the ring by Ambrose as we went to commercial.

We go to the WWE App to see Rollins having full control over Ambrose. Back on the air, we see Rollins still dominating his former stablemate. The Lunatic Fringe would finally get some momentum with some hits to the face and a big dive through the ropes. As Ambrose went for Dirty Deeds, Rollins countered. Ambrose would counter that and hit a flying elbow off the top rope to almost get the pinfall.

After Rollins got in a few kicks and a near-fall, Ambrose launched both over the ring with a big clothesline. Rollins would hit a huge powerbomb on Ambrose into the barricade. It looked like he wouldn’t get up, but got into the ring at the last second.

Just as Ambrose was going for the win, J&J Security ran down to try to save Rollins, but both would be thrown out of the ring. As Rollins tried attacking Ambrose, he quickly rolled up the champion for the win!

Awesome match, wow. Ambrose is going to Payback to make the match Rollins vs. Ambrose vs. Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
