How does the latest WWE WrestleMania 32 card projection look?

Event: WWE WrestleMania 32

Date: April 3, 2016

Arena: AT&T Stadium

Location: Dallas, TX

WrestleMania 32 is still 10 months away but the hype and speculation around the massive event has already begun. Having this happen so early isn’t new, as we heard Roman Reigns-Brock Lesnar speculation for the WrestleMania 31 main event around this time. Those rumors came to fruition when Lesnar held the WWE World Heavyweight Championship for months and Reigns won the 2015 Royal Rumble.

Check out what’s been reported so far about WrestleMania 32.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

The André the Giant Battle Royal will likely be annual, as it gives WWE Superstars who would not normally be on the WrestleMania card an opportunity to compete. The match has been also been a success both years, so we can assume they will go to it next year.

Right now, it’s impossible to figure out who will be the hot mid-card talent that will get a chance to shine a year in advance. We saw Cesaro get that chance at WrestleMania 30 as well as Damien Mizdow at WrestleMania 31. Maybe an NXT star like

Adrian

Neville, who the fans seem into early on, will get his chance to shine.

We won’t know how the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal field will shape up until next February, so speculate away.

WWE Tag Team Championship
The Lucha Dragons vs. The Usos vs. The New Day vs. The Ascension

This is impossible to figure out and not worth guessing who will be the champion on April 3, 2016 since the title always floats around. However, these could be four teams in the mix by next spring.

It’s hard to predict who would win from this group. The hottest team of the bunch would make sense, whoever that may be at the time.

WWE Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match
Dolph Ziggler vs. Neville vs. Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Sami Zayn vs. Stardust vs. Rusev

This is a stacked field of participants that could put on an excellent ladder match, given WWE starts making this a yearly thing.

The highlighted Superstars are the former/current NXT stars. Zayn seems to be done with NXT and Balor should be by WrestleMania 32. They, along with Neville should be the favorites for this match. None will be in the World Title picture, yet, so letting them show off in a thrilling ladder match in front of 100,00 people should be excellent.

Don’t forget about the rest, either. Ziggler, Wyatt, Stardust and Rusev are no scrubs and would add extra excitement to this match.

Seth Rollins vs. Triple H

Seth Rollins was left off the previous WrestleMania 32 projections list because there wasn’t an ideal match for him. With the rumors of a feud in the works with Triple H swirling, this seems likely.

Triple H convinced Rollins to turn on his Shield brothers Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in June of last year. He has since been under The Game’s wing in The Authority stable.

We’ve seen tension here and there between Rollins and HHH but nothing notable. Something may develop now that Rollins is using Triple H’s Pedigree finisher.

With Rollins seemingly on a path towards facing Brock Lesnat at SummerSlam, WrestleMania would be the proper stage for this match. It would be a lot of fun to watch.

Brock Lesnar vs. Steve Austin

We saw build for this come out of nowhere on the recent Stone Cold Podcast with Paul Heyman the other night. Austin looked interested in this potential match with Lesnar and even played it up with a Rattlesnake-esque promo.

The question is how likely will we see this?

Austin has bounced back and forth on having one last match in the media. Sometime he has used his past neck injuries as the reason why while other times he has left the chance open.

The prediction would be that this won’t happen. While Austin will probably make an appearance at WrestleMania 32 (given it’s in his home state of Texas), seeing him wrestle would be surprising.

However, who could Lesnar realistically face?

Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens

A battle of two unstoppable forces who would brawl until one lays bloody (at least in TV-14 days). How great would this be?

The storyline of this could be Lesnar not being pinned since WrestleMania 29 against Triple H. Between then and WrestleMania 32, he has defeated Triple H, CM Punk, Big Show, The Undertaker, John Cena and Seth Rollins. Owens would challenge Lesnar and say he can be the one to conquer him.

Owens has been on a rapid rise since debuting on the main roster last month. He already has four t-shirts out and even defeated Cena for his first main roster match at WWE Elimination Chamber. By WrestleMania 32, he should already be a top star (if he isn’t already) and be more than worthy of facing Lesnar.

This match would be one that everyone keeps their eyes on. It would be exciting, brutally physical and have the fans on their feet. How about the promos between Paul Heyman and Owens for a WrestleMania build?

WWE Divas Championship Match
Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks

Despite these two facing off so many times in NXT, many fans probably have never seen Charlotte and Sasha Banks have a match. Getting a chance in front of 100,000 fans at WrestleMania 32 would be ideal for the WWE Universe to experience how great these two are.

Charlotte and Banks have already proved they can have a terrific live match, as seen by their NXT TakeOver: R Evolution match. They also had a great back and forth during the fatal 4-way at NXT TakeOver: Rival.

By next year, these two will should both be up on the main roster. Vince McMahon is already high on these two, which means a lot. If the boss likes someone, he will make sure they are given a spotlight.

Sting vs. The Undertaker

Sting vs. The Undertaker is the ultimate dream match that could become a reality if WWE wants The Icon to return for another match.

We know that Undertaker will probably be sticking around for WrestleMania 32, as he came back looking healthy against Bray Wyatt. Plus, WWE wouldn’t just send him off in that match without giving him a proper goodbye. The same could go for Sting. However, it felt like his handshake with Triple H was a way of covering themselves if he never returns.

Putting this match in front of the 100,000 people in AT&T Stadium would be a spectacle. It would have a very similar feel that Hulk Hogan and The Rock had with their match at WrestleMania X-8 – except with thousands of more people in attendance.

This match will only happen if WWE asks Sting to return, who seems like he is open to coming back. Time will tell if the two sides speak again.

Ronda Rousey vs. Stephanie McMahon

We saw the beginning of this at WrestleMania 31, when Rousey took out McMahon in a segment with Triple H and The Rock. Speculation began immediately of a match between Rousey and McMahon at the following WrestleMania.

This would be a huge draw and garner plenty of media attention. The top fighter in UFC wrestling at WrestleMania in front of 100,00 people? That is sure to bring eyes on the product.

However, the one hurdle in this is UFC President Dana White. He has said in the past he won’t let Rousey wrestle. Things could change if money talks (as it always does) along with a possible change of heart from White. The second either of this happens, Rousey will be put in a WWE ring next April.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Dean Ambrose vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton

The direction that WWE seems to be going in is Reigns winning Money in the Bank and feuding with Ambrose down the line. A rivalry between these two could be a lot of fun and work its way through the year, into WrestleMania season.

With this match being centered around Reigns and Ambrose, Cena and Orton would be there to provide star power. Since Vince McMahon is keen on selling out AT&T Stadium, packing as many big names as possible in the main event makes sense. While Cena or Orton probably wouldn’t win the WWE WHC, their names draw fans in.

Out of the three challengers, Ambrose is the most likely one to win the 2016 Royal Rumble. He has never won it before and WWE may try to avoid another backlash like the past two years.

A match between these four would be exciting, as all four members have their respective fans. Plus the people who hate Reigns will be able to boo him, since he’ll be a heel going into this after turning on Ambrose during the summer.

With all this in mind, what do you think of the WrestleMania match card projection 2.0?
