Who is primed to be “Tough Enough” after the fifth week?

Eliminated: Patrick
Ranking Last Week: 1

Well. This was a shock to me. Patrick had a really bad attitude, but he definitely learned his humility by being eliminated. Patrick was aggressive to ZZ during the show, calling him out for his fitness. Miz even supported Patrick during Tough Talk, and seemed genuinely shocked that he was gone.

Patrick has indy experience, a decent look and a thirst for knowledge. He will continue to hone his craft and it would not surprise me for him to get a developmental contract once the run of the show is over. The rankings have been shaken up. Who becomes number one?

#8: ZZ
Ranking Last Week: 7
Movement: Down 1

ZZ had a rough week. He was called out by Patrick for his conditioning and fitness level. He absolutely blew it in the fitness course challenge, and was unable to get even half way though. ZZ has all the charisma in the world. He’s lovable, friendly and wants to make the people laugh. However that’s not enough. He’s been in the bottom three multiple times now and hasn’t been sent home, proving the big problem with the worldwide voting: the people get it wrong. Leave it to the judges to decide because they know the business.

#7: Chelsea G
Ranking Last Week: 9
Movement: Up 2

Terrible week for Chelsea but not due to her being unable to keep up with people in the ring. The problem was she couldn’t get in the ring. She was injured coming down from the rope climb during the fitness competition earlier in the week. She says she was going to tough it out, but her condition was sold out by Gigi before the in-ring portion could start. Chelsea moves up because of ZZ’s bad week and a good showing. Her recovery will be interesting to watch.

#6: Amanda
Ranking Last Week: 6
Movement: N/A

Amanda is the Marty Jannetty to Gigi’s Shawn Michaels. She is the side kick who only gets mention in the same breath as Gigi. Amanda failed on her own this week, failing to complete the fitness challenge. She was about to be overtaken by Chelsea but Chelsea’s injury gave Amanda a small reprieve. If she doesn’t start showing up soon, it’ll be all over for the “bikini model.”

#5: Josh
Ranking Last Week: 4
Movement: Down 1

Josh was called out by Hulk Hogan for blending in with Mada and not really standing out. He was put into the bottom three but survived with a strong showing in the voting. He showed a softer side during the show, facetiming his daughter (who had the same hairstyle as her daddy, no less). Josh is a physical specimen and did well in the in ring work this week, besting ZZ alongside Tanner. Hopefully the wake up call from Hogan will do the trick for Josh.

#4: Sara Lee
Ranking Last Week: 8
Movement: Up 4

Sara Lee’s chances of winning have been resurrected from the dead. She came third overall in the fitness challenge, and has been improving steadily in the ring each week. She wasn’t in the bottom three again which is a positive. Her personality has been shining through as more than “not being a bikini model” now, and that is doing great things for her popularity. She’s not the best choice yet, but she may be the most popular.

#3: Tanner
Ranking Last Week: 5
Movement: Up 2

Tanner absolutely destroyed the fitness challenge. It was a squash match and Tanner was Baron Corbin. He also did well at adding flair to his selling and bumping, impressing the coaches. Tanner also showed he was a noble competitor, going back during the fitness challenge to help motivate and coach the other competitors. I would say now (not that I know anything with certainty) that Tanner is my only lock for making the finals.

#2: Mada
Ranking Last Week: 3
Movement: Up 1

Mada finished second amongst the guys in the fitness challenge and won the overall challenge for in-ring work. He has come so far since the beginning of the show and only continues to move up in the rankings. He has flair and charisma that comes across in ring, not just in the way he speaks but also in the way he moves. After his strong showing this week he is the number one guy competitor for Tough Enough.

#1: Giorgia
Ranking Last Week: 2
Movement: Up 1

Giorgia had one of the worst fake cries in human history. She through both Sara Lee and Chelsea under the bus at once. She comes across as just plain mean.

But she wins!

She’s won five challenges, including both of the challenges for the females this week. She’s fit, she has personality and she seems to be improving in the ring week by week. That’s enough for her to take the top spot now that my own personal favourite Patrick is out.

What do you think of the rankings? Is Giorgia your odds on favorite too? Let us know in the comments below!
