NJPW G1 Climax Day Six Review
Toru Yano and YOSHI-HASHI vs. Doc Gallows and Cody Hall
Result: Toru Yano and YOSHI-HASHI defeats Doc Gallows and Cody Hall via pinfall.
Rating: 2.6 out of 5 stars
Yano started infuriating Gallows with a slap to the head and toyed him with by going to the ropes. HASHI tagged in and hit a slap on Gallows before being hit by Hall. Gallows tossed him through the barricade.
Back in the ring, Gallows hit HASHI in the head multiple times before tagging in Hall, who locked in his arm. He nearly picked up a pin.
Gallows came back in and went to work on HASHI. However, the NJPW star would get a dropkick and tag in Yano, who took the pad off the turnbuckle.
Yano would continue toying with Gallows with a hold and dodging his every move. HASHI would come in and get attacked by Hall and Gallows. Hall hit a big clothesline for a near-fall.
The two combined for a big boot and went for an attack on both faces. However, they both pulled back. HASHI tried sweeping Hall’s legs from under him and hit a clothesline. He hit a senton for the win.
Rob’s Note: Not a bad tag match. Didn’t have much meaning, though, thus the standard match grade.
Toru Yano also bugs me like no other wrestler does.
