Result: Hirooki Goto defeats Tomoaki Honma via pinfall.
Rating: 3.4 out of 5 stars
Goto began with a shoulder tackle and hip toss on Honma, who got up and hit a shoulder tackle of his own.
Honma got Goto down and attempted his trademark missed headbutt, which indeed did not connect. Goto got a near-fall.
Goto locked Honma into a hold for awhile, leading to him just getting a foot on the ropes. The two then traded a flurry of elbows until Honma hit a suplex.
Honma connected with a bulldog and actually connected with a headbutt. He put on a Boston Crab with Goto barely getting to the ropes.
Goto regained some steam with a hard shoulder tackle. He then hit stiff kicks to the chest of Honma along with a suplex for a near-fall.
Honma then hit two headbutts for a near-fall. He went for a third from the top rope but missed.
Goto hit a clothesline but only got a one count. He then dropped Honma’s back on his knee for a near-fall. Honma got back up and went for a small package to nearly steal a pin.
Goto hit Goto Shiki for the win.
Rob’s Note: This was a pretty good match despite Honma’s goofiness throughout. Went a lot longer than I expected and produced quality results.
