The Ascension & New Day (Kofi Kingston & Big E) w/ Xavier Woods vs Lucha Dragons and Los Matadores w/ El Torito

Result: Kalisto def. Viktor by pinfall (Roll-up)

Darren Young and Titus O’Neill are on commentary again. Young says he’s taking notes on all of these tag teams. New Day cut promo on being the next #1 contenders if they beat the Lucha Dragons and Los Matadores. New Day are my favourite promo and my favourite act in the company right now.

Los Matadores start out in control of the Viktor doing a lot of high speed moves to ground the big man. We go to break with Woods screaming at members of the Lucha Dragons on the outside.

Back from break Sin Cara is still being dominated in the ring. New Day and The Ascension keep tagging themselves in during the match, annoying each other. Sin Cara starts his comeback and manages to make th hot tag to Kalisto who takes out the whole team. Woods attempts to distract Kalisto, but get kicked by El Torito. New Day goes for their finisher but, Viktor tags himself in disrupting the plan. Kalisto rolls up Viktor for a win.

New Day is livid after the miscommunication and yell at the Ascension in the ring.

Evan’s Notes: This match was good and had lots of teams vying to be the next #1 contenders. Having New Day get mad at the Ascension was a nice finish that worked well. Xavier Woods is still the best talker who is consistently on our television screens.

Also, note to WWE. Stop having Titus and Darren on commentary so often. It takes away from the match to have these guys on the mic at all times. They’re entertaining, but don’t over do it.
