WWE SmackDown Review: Owens & Rollins vs Cesaro & Ambrose
By Evan Gomes
Cesaro Interview
Rich Brennan interviews Cesaro, asking if he has found a partner. Cesaro says he’ll go out there alone if he has to, but he hasn’t found a partner as of yet. He says no one in the locker room owes him anything, so he’s just waiting to see if anyone wants to join the fight.
We get a video recap package for Neville-Stardust, which has become one of my favorite midcard feuds in a while. I love the comic book styled video packages.
R-Truth vs Stardust
Result: Stardust def. R-Truth by pinfall (Queen’s Crossbow)
Rating: 1.9 stars out of 5 stars
Truth starts off with some offence, but Stardust fights back with some unconventional offence. “Cody” chants rain down on Stardust, and once they start R-Truth takes control. Stardust hits the Queen’s Crossbow and gets the quick victory.
Stardust gets on the mic after the match and says R-Truth has failed this city. He puts a star mask on R-Truth, but Neville comes out to defend R-Truth. Neville hits a top rope suicide dive, and chases Stardust out into the crowd.
Evan’s Notes: Not the most interesting match, but furthered this quality midcard feud. Stardust’s commitment to his character is something to definitely be applauded.
