10. Rusev

The Bulgarian Brute has been exponentially more entertaining both in the ring and on the microphone since shaking off the specter of his undefeated streak. On SmackDown, Rusev featured in the main event of the night in a competitive, albeit losing, effort against Roman Reigns. But his spirits were certainly uplifted on RAW, as he steamrolled Mark Henry with little difficulty, and then stood delighted as new manager Summer Rae applied the Accolade to his former beau Lana.

9. Stardust

Stardust has been one of the outstanding stars of the last few weeks with regards to his performance and character growth, as his absorption into his gimmick has been incredibly impressive. The Prince of Dark Matter has been embroiled in a comic book feud with Neville, but took a detour on SmackDown to best Zack Ryder. He then returned to his rivalry with the Red Arrow, but in the process incurred the wrath of the Green Arrow, Stephen Amell. This exchange on RAW has resulted in a tag team match for SummerSlam, as Stardust and King Barrett clash with this pair of “superheroes”.

8. Seth Rollins

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion was once again at the peak of his smugness on RAW, preening about breaking John Cena’s nose prior to their title vs title match at SummerSlam, and defending his belt against Neville the previous Monday. But Seth Rollins’ arrogance was wiped away when he was told he would defend the gold this week, which turned out to be opposite old foe Randy Orton. And the champ escaped by the skin of his teeth, as Sheamus interfered to cost Orton his shot, whilst the Irishman’s own cash-in attempt was thwarted by the Viper.

7. The Bella Twins

Team Bella have recently been found caught out by the emergence of their opposing Divas factions Team BAD and Team PCB, suffering numerous defeats to the upstarts over the past month. However, this past week on RAW provided a much-needed shot in the arm against their rivals, especially for the Bella Twins Nikki and Brie. The Divas Champion withstood assaults from Team BAD in a six-man tag, allowing Brie to get the hot tag and secure the victory in her husband Daniel Bryan’s home state.

6. Roman Reigns

Whilst the actions of the Wyatt Family remain the primary focus of Roman Reigns heading into their tag team encounter at SummerSlam, the Samoan was posed the challenge of Rusev on SmackDown. In a physical and strong clash of powerhouse, the Spear of Reigns was enough to keep his Bulgarian opponent down for a three count. But he was unable to be as effective in a supporting role at ringside, as his partner Dean Ambrose fell to defeat against the Wyatt Family’s enforcer Luke Harper.
