Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship

PrimeTime Players (c) vs Los Matadores w/ El Torito vs Lucha Dragons vs New Day

Result: New Day wins to become WWE Tag Team Champions

Rating: 3.25 out of 5 stars

New Day comes out first to tell New York that the city know nothing about hip hop. They then sing a song called “Let’s Hear It For New Day.” The participants for New Day are Kofi and Big E. Big E and Titus start the match. Kofi tags in off Titus, and tries to pin themselves in order to pin themselves but Titus breaks up the pin. Sin Cara tags Big E in order to get one of the New Day members out of the match.
Big E ends up in the ring with Kalisto and he slaps the luchador across the face. Kalisto comes back with a springboard kick and Darren Young tags in to go against Kalisto, who does some serious flips to the appeasement of the Brooklyn crowd. Big E ends up in the ring with Young and hits a huge splash onto Darren on the apron.

Quick tags dominate the match as a lot of teams focus on Darren Young. Once New Day are in they do their patented stomps and quick tags. Young is bleeding from his mouth as New Day continues to dominate the match. Both Kofi and Young are down, and Young gets the hot tag to Titus. O’Neil takes out the entire match, including the two teams not currently legal in the ring. He clears the entire ring, tossing the luchadors like throw pillows. Fernando manages to tag in and gets a two count on a cross body on Titus.

Fernando goes for a top rope move but gets pushed off by Woods. When El Torito goes after Woods he gets destroyed with a facebuster by Woods. Big E spears Young through the ropes. Sin Cara and Kalisto hit a superplex with O’Neil doing a powerbomb as well. Kofi manages to sneak in a tag on Titus in the corner. Titus hits a Clash of the Titus on Fernando, and Kofi kicks Titus. Big E pushes Titus out of the ring and Kofi pins Fernando for the win!

New, Day Rocks!

Evan’s Note: An entertaining match that had a lot of cool spots. The Big E spear through the ropes will never fail to be impressive. It’s great that New Day can continue to be promoted as the tag champs and annoy the entire division each week. A really good match to get SummerSlam off to a really hot start.
